(Baonghean.vn)- The clean water supply project for the Vinh vicinity was built with ODA capital from Finland. The plant has a capacity of 20,000 m3/day with modern technology and equipment from Europe and an operating system from Rockwell - USA. This is one of the top modern clean water plants in Vietnam.

The clean water supply project for the Vinh vicinity was completed by Nghe An Water Supply One Member Co., Ltd. as the investor with a total capital of 375 billion VND (of which counterpart capital is 36 billion VND) in Nam Giang - Nam Dan commune, put into operation on April 30, 2014.
Mr. Phan Cong Hoa, Deputy Director of Vinh Sub-Water Plant said: “The clean water production process at the plant is that the raw water source is taken from the Dao River and led to the settling pond, then the level 1 pumping station pumps the water into the distribution tank and leads it to the Polymer injection reaction tank, then continues to lead to the lamella settling tank, then transfers it to the gravity filter tank, disinfected with liquid chlorine solution and sent to the storage tank, then the level 2 pumping station will supply it to the water supply pipeline system for customers. Thanks to the investment in modern European technology and equipment and the American operating system, the plant is one of the top in clean water production technology in Vietnam. In particular, the plant is large in scale, but each production shift has only 2 technical staff operating and directly producing at the plant.”

Along with investing in a modern clean water production plant, the project also expanded the 270 km long water supply pipeline system (including level 1, level 2 and level 3 pipelines), thereby expanding the clean water supply area for more than 11,000 customers of 13 communes in the benefiting areas of Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts. In addition, the project also supplies water to Nam Cam Industrial Park, Cua Lo Town and participates in supplying clean water to Vinh City. In the first 8 months of 2015, the factory has supplied more than 2.9 million m3 of clean water./.
