Effectiveness of the delegation's activities before the district People's Council meeting

(Baonghean) -The meeting of the People's Council delegation group is an activity of delegates through group activities to discuss reports, proposals, and presentations to the session; study and thoroughly understand new laws, mechanisms, and newly issued policies, and reflect the thoughts and aspirations of voters in the constituencies in the region; and at the same time, through group activities to conduct annual review and classification of delegates. The meeting of the district People's Council delegation group and the People's Council of communes and towns in Thanh Chuong has become a routine and is of real quality. Before the regular session (June and November), meetings are held to discuss reports and proposals to the session; in March and September, newly issued laws, mechanisms, and policies related to practical life are studied.

The Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee and its members closely monitor beneficiaries of poverty reduction support policies.

To ensure the quantity and quality of group activities, the Standing Committee of the District People's Council has consulted and included them in the Party Committee's calendar and the People's Council - People's Committee's work schedule so that delegates can proactively arrange their work and fully participate in group meetings. In addition, the Standing Committee of the People's Council must carefully prepare the content and print documents for delegates to study and discuss. Through the group meeting of delegates before the People's Council session, we can draw out positive aspects, which are:

Firstly, there is enough time for delegates to give their opinions on reports and proposals submitted to the session in a democratic manner, limiting errors and contradictions in reports and proposals.

Second, the meeting locations in communes and towns invited members of the Party Standing Committee, the People's Council Standing Committee, the People's Committee Chairman, and the Fatherland Front Committee Chairman of the commune to attend and give opinions, which enriched the comments on the content of the district People's Council meeting that the grassroots reality raised.

Third, based on the determined meeting schedule, the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, together with the heads and deputy heads of the delegation groups, agreed and issued invitations, thereby creating unity in the content and time of group activities in the district, creating favorable conditions for reporting and synthesizing opinions to better prepare for the meeting.

Reality shows that if the activities of the delegation group are good, it will create conditions and premise for a quality meeting of the district People's Council. The 8th session of the 18th term Thanh Chuong District People's Council is scheduled to take place on December 17 and 18, 2013. The Standing Committee of Thanh Chuong District People's Council has successfully organized the activities of the delegation group, and on November 28, 2013, the delegation groups will conduct activities to discuss reports and submissions to the meeting.
