Effective application of science and technology initiatives at Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company

Among them, Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company is considered to have the most applied and effective scientific and technological topics among the participating units. In 2007 - 2009, the Company successfully implemented the project "Rapid propagation of new sugarcane varieties in raw material areas". Thanks to that, the area for planting new sugarcane varieties is increasingly expanding, benefiting both farmers and businesses. The production of fertilizer from bagasse is improved by innovative technical measures, so the quality of fertilizer is increasingly better, and is accepted by sugarcane growers.

The most effective application project is by Engineer Nguyen Hoang and his colleagues in the Company's Technical Department. That is the project of designing a 1,200 m3 evaporation equipment to renovate the 6-boiler, 5-efficiency evaporation pipeline system so that the pots can be replaced with each other, extending the cleaning cycle from 12 days to 25 days, preventing waste and ensuring continuous production during the pressing season, ensuring the capacity of synchronous machinery and equipment. The machinery and equipment system of Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company has a capacity of 1,250 to 2,500 tons of sugarcane/day. The sugar quality meets grade 1 according to Vietnamese standards.Male. The success of the innovative technique of evaporation pot lifting has benefited the company, reducing the pressing time per crop from 22 - 25 days, the pressing capacity from 2,130 tons to 2,750 tons of sugarcane/day, the pressing efficiency from 93.62% to 93.95%, reducing sugar loss in molasses to 0.39%, in bagasse to 0.33%, reducing invisible loss to 0.23%, benefiting the company over 6 billion VND/year.

Starting from the design and manufacture of an additional evaporator, it is necessary to install an open-close valve to adjust the flow of steam emitted. To solve this difficulty, engineer Nguyen Hoang and engineer Tang Ngoc Long designed and manufactured the DN 750 steam valve, with a cost of nearly 37 million VND, much cheaper than this product sold on the market.

The successes of technical innovation projects at Song Con Sugarcane Joint Stock Company have greatly contributed to helping the unit reduce costs, improve labor productivity, increase product quality, thereby enabling the unit to increase the purchase price of sugarcane raw materials for farmers.
