Early on the morning of March 23, the Singapore Prime Minister's Office announced that Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, passed away at Singapore General Hospital at 3:18 a.m., at the age of 91.

The passing of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew leaves much regret for the people and country of Singapore. He spent the best years of his life contributing and building a better Singapore.

This photo was taken in 1930, when Lee Kuan Yew was only 7 years old but already had the serious, mature expression of an adult.

In his youth, Mr. Lee was also a person who enjoyed social activities and socializing with friends. In this photo, Mr. Lee and Ms. Kwa Ngoc Chi (his girlfriend, second from the right) were bathing in the Punggo River with friends.

This photo was taken in the winter of 1946, when Mr. Lee was a student at Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge University, England. Mr. Lee is wearing a smart coat and a scarf around his neck, like the image of a handsome prince in every girl's dream.

Before going to Cambridge to study, he took a photo with his girlfriend Kha Ngoc Chi (who later became his wife) so that he could hang it in his room.
