Coach Bruno leads Japan team after leaving Vietnam

The Japan Football Federation has just decided to appoint Mr. Bruno Garcia Formoso as head coach of the national futsal team.

Success with Vietnamese futsal helped coach Bruno Garcia Formoso be selected by the Japan Football Federation.

"In the meeting today, October 20, the Japan Football Federation agreed to sign a contract with coach Bruno Garcia Formoso," Japanese press reported in unison.

Coach Bruno Garcia Formoso is the hero of Vietnamese futsal. In February, at the Asian Championship, he and the Vietnamese futsal team caused a big surprise when they defeated Japan in the quarterfinals to qualify for the Futsal World Cup for the first time in history.

At the world's largest futsal tournament in Colombia in September, the Vietnamese futsal team continued to surprise by winning a ticket to the round of 16 (losing to Russia 0-7).

After returning from Colombia, coach Bruno Garcia Formoso proactively asked to leave Vietnam futsal. The main reason was the invitation from the Japanese futsal team.

The Spanish coach started leading Vietnam futsal from March 27, 2014 with a three-year contract.
