Coach Duc Thang: "SLNA needs truly dedicated sponsors"
(Baonghean.vn) - Fans of Nghe An, players and head coach of SLNA are very worried because V.League 2019 is approaching but the new sponsor has not officially signed a contract and transferred money to the team.
According to the latest developments, the negotiation process between SLNA and the new sponsor has suddenly shown signs of stalling. As of today (January 30), the Nghe An team has not received any funding for 2019.
This makes SLNA still try out foreign players, agreeing with veterans in a tentative manner. If the issue of sponsorship for SLNA's first team reaches a dead end, SLNA will most likely start V.League 2019 without a single foreign player in hand.
In the worst case, if the negotiations between SLNA and the new sponsor fail, it is likely that the Nghe An team will operate at a standstill for a season. And to maintain operations, SLNA will be forced to depend on Bac A Bank, arrangements by the Provincial People's Committee or some "Manh Thuong Quan", loyal fans of the team.

This afternoon (January 30), Coach Nguyen Duc Thang said: "Due to lack of operating funds, we have not been able to sign contracts with foreign players, and have not been able to finalize the squad to participate in V.League 2019. And it can be said that SLNA's preparation for this season is very passive."
In case the negotiation process with the current sponsor does not yield results, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang shared: “Just like in difficult times, if there is no official sponsor, we will have to wait for the Provincial People's Committee to allocate resources. We hope to find dedicated sponsors who are truly dedicated to SLNA football.”
According to Nghe An Newspaper, the expected amount of money that the new sponsor has proposed to SLNA is about 60 billion/year. However, this unit requires Bac A Bank to hand over all assets and facilities from youth level to professional level. And so, the new sponsor is not simply a financial sponsor but owns the entire SLNA team./.
