Coach Duc Thang still praises his players after losing to Ho Chi Minh City Club
(Baonghean.vn) - Despite losing 1-2 at Thong Nhat Stadium to Ho Chi Minh City in round 11 of V.League 2019, coach Nguyen Duc Thang still felt warmed by the fighting spirit of SLNA players.
“First of all, I would like to express my sincere thanks to SLNA fans for their enthusiastic support on the 40th anniversary of the team. They were truly wonderful. Besides, I would like to congratulate the Ho Chi Minh City team on this victory. I am very happy that my players played with passion and gave their all until the last moment,” said coach Duc Thang.
Despite losing the match, SLNA showed a spirit of never giving up. The highlight was Khac Ngoc's goal to shorten the score in the 54th minute. In the second half, SLNA caused a lot of trouble for the home team.

Coach Duc Thang shared: “I am satisfied with the performance of my students. SLNA had opportunities in this match but unfortunately luck could not go hand in hand. Every team recognized the role of Khac Ngoc at SLNA. Therefore, in some matches Ngoc was marked by 1 to 2 players. In some matches Ngoc was locked so he could not play his role.
“After 6 months of injury, Xuan Manh has just returned to training for 2 weeks and played on the field. Xuan Manh tried his best in the matches when I arranged him to play in the midfielder position.
As you know, the player has just returned from injury so his ball feeling is not good yet. However, in this match alone, Xuan Manh overcame that and showed his ability," coach Duc Thang commented on Xuan Manh's performance.

The second half was very difficult for HCM City FC when the opponent scored. This victory helped us create a 5-point gap with the second-placed team. I think I know how to prepare for the next match.”
After this match, SLNA will continue to stay in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the match against Saigon FC on May 31 at Thong Nhat Stadium within the framework of round 12 of V.League 2019./.
