(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at a press conference after the 2-0 victory over Vietnam, Iran coach Carlos Queiroz affirmed that his players have not yet played to their full potential.
Coach Carlos Queiroz: "Iranian players are only playing at 60% of their potential"
In the post-match press conference, coach Carlos Queiroz shared: "Both teams played very well and fought fiercely. However, I believe we can play stronger. The Iranian players only played with 60% to 70% of their ability.
This result is still very good, because Vietnam is not an easy opponent. I predicted from the beginning that Vietnam is a difficult team and it is not easy to score many goals against them."

Coach Park Hang-seo: "Iran is strong but we fought with all our might"
In the post-match press conference, coach Park Hang-seo said: "I understand they are very strong, but the Vietnamese players fought with all their might. It is not easy to reach a high level in such a short time. But we can go further because the players are still very young and will improve their playing level even more. Our mission is to win the final match. We will have to prepare very carefully for that match with the determination to win."
"As you know, on the FIFA rankings, Iran is very strong and has shown that in this match. I don't think about specific players or goals conceded. Sometimes the team can concede goals because of mistakes or maybe because the opponent is too strong. I will have calculations and solve this problem for the next match," said coach Park.

When asked whether he regretted the goal he lost at the end of the first half, Mr. Park calmly said: "I don't feel regretful because Iran is too strong, we didn't think about the chance to end the first half with a score of 0-0."
Sharing after the match, captain Que Ngoc Hai said: "Iran is a strong opponent, the top team in Asia. They have participated in the World Cup many times and actually showed it on the field in today's match. Although losing, the Vietnamese players played with all their might, for the flag and the fans. My teammates and I are proud of that fighting spirit today."
"Many people may underestimate Yemen, but we don't think so. Every team in this tournament needs to be respected. Vietnam will enter the match with respect for its opponents, try its best, and win the final match to have a chance to continue," said Que Ngoc Hai./.
