Coach Kim Sang-sik: 'Vietnam team is determined to win to bring joy to fans'
Coach Kim Sang-sik said the Vietnamese team is determined to win the friendly match with the Indian team tomorrow to bring joy to the fans.
On the afternoon of October 11, a press conference was held before the international friendly match between the Vietnamese team and the Indian team. At the beginning of the press conference, coach Kim Sang-sik shared about the health status of striker Tien Linh and center back Viet Anh. “Tien Linh and Viet Anh are injured, have not recovered 100%, and cannot participate in normal training with the team. But no matter who plays, we will aim for the best results.”

In response to a reporter's question, "How do you plan to deal with the defense when we conceded an average of more than two goals in each recent match?", coach Kim Sang-sik replied: "Last match we conceded two goals. But this time I won't make many changes. However, our system plays together, so things will be different. The whole team can win tomorrow's match. There is no serious problem."
Regarding the call-up of veteran Van Quyet and some players who rarely appear on the national team such as Quoc Viet, Ngoc Quang... the Korean strategist said: "I have watched the players in many matches. I realize that we need new energy, need experienced players but also need young players. They will create cohesion, which is good for the future."

Regarding the Vietnamese team's goal-scoring task, coach Kim Sang-sik affirmed that he has many options in terms of personnel: "Tien Linh and Tuan Hai are very good players. Unfortunately, they were injured while playing in the V-League. But we have other very good attacking players. I'm not too worried about the attack tomorrow. I believe they can score."
The match against India could be the last friendly match for the Vietnamese team before the AFF Cup. Coach Kim Sang-sik said: “I am not worried even though tomorrow could be the last match to prepare for the AFF Cup. The players have been in good shape recently. I hope to have the expected results.
We play at Thien Truong, and I believe we will be cheered on by a large crowd. We will play a good match, dedicated to the Vietnamese fans. I am doing my best to motivate the players, to have good results to satisfy the fans.
The match between Vietnam and India will take place at 6 p.m. on October 12 at Thien Truong Stadium, Nam Dinh province./.
