Coach Makoto declared that he will make Hanoi FC the strongest in Southeast Asia.
New Japanese head coach Makoto Teguramori is confident that he will help Hanoi FC not only win the V-League but also become the strongest in Southeast Asia.
"I learned a lot from the development of Japanese football, and I want to bring this experience to Southeast Asia. I went to Thailand and learned a lot. Thailand and Vietnam have great potential in the future.

Hanoi FC is the most successful team in V-League, and I am very happy to come here to work, hoping to help the club. I know this is a very strong team, but there are many things that can be improved and become stronger. I believe that Hanoi FC can become one of the strongest clubs in Southeast Asia," said the new captain of Hanoi FC Makoto Teguramori.
"I want to win many victories with the club and bring achievements to the team. I watched the match between Hanoi Police and Quang Nam, and observed my former colleague, Mr. Mano Polking, which is also my preparation for the upcoming matches. Hanoi FC's position requires us to compete for points to win the championship, so we will try our best to win the next match," said the Japanese strategist.
Nam Dinh coach declares victory over Hiroshima, enters Asian tournament quarterfinals
Coach Vu Hong Viet believes Nam Dinh can turn the tables when they play Sanfrecce Hiroshima again in the round of 16 of AFC Champions League Two 2024/25.
"Nam Dinh Blue Steel faced many difficulties after losing 0-3 in the first leg, but we are still determined in the second leg, aiming to win," coach Vu Hong Viet confidently said before the match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima, the second leg of the 1/8 round of AFC Champions League Two.
"Sanfrecce Hiroshima has a good defense with 3 experienced and skilled central defenders. I know that they are all old but really classy central defenders. However, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh carefully studied the opponent's weaknesses to exploit and aim for good results," coach Vu Hong Viet assessed his opponent.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nguyen Manh confidently said: "We are ready for the match. Hiroshima is a strong opponent. Thep Xanh Nam Dinh played their best in the first leg, but the result was not as expected. We will try again in the second leg and aim for a good result.
All of Hiroshima's players are top players in Japan. Playing away from home is not easy but we studied our opponents carefully. We defended well and tried to score to win."
The rematch between Nam Dinh Blue Steel and Sanfrecce Hiroshima will take place at 5:00 p.m. on February 19.
VFF makes ruling, coaches will not be subject to additional penalties
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Disciplinary Board has imposed penalties on coaches Van Sy Son, Popov and Le Duc Tuan for reacting to the referee in Round 13 of the 2024/2025 V. League.
Accordingly, coach Van Sy Son of Quang Nam Club was fined 5 million VND and suspended from duty for the next 2 matches. The decision will take effect from February 18.

The other two captains who reacted to the referee were coach Velizar Popov (Thanh Hoa FC) and coach Le Duc Tuan (SHB Da Nang FC). Both of these coaches received red cards in the match and will not be on duty in the next match. Because both coaches received red cards, VPF also requested the VFF Disciplinary Board not to impose additional penalties.
Thus, in the upcoming match between Quang Nam Club and Dong A Thanh Hoa Club, a make-up match of round 11 of the V-League, both teams will not have the guidance of a head coach.
Coach Van Sy Son's penalty stemmed from the situation where he believed a Quang Nam player had been fouled before Hanoi Police scored the equalizer 4-4.
Meanwhile, Coach Popov received two consecutive yellow cards in the first half of the match between Dong A Thanh Hoa Club and Ho Chi Minh City Club. In the situation of receiving the second yellow card, the Bulgarian strategist got angry with his own student, center back Thanh Long, for a dangerous tackle on an opponent player, not reacting to the decision of referee Le Vu Linh.
In the last case, Coach Le Duc Tuan had a heated argument with the referee after a Da Nang player was fouled but was not whistled. Coach Le Duc Tuan's reaction and expression were quite fierce and the referee quickly pulled out a direct red card./.
