Malaysian coach confident before U23 Asia qualifiers
Malaysia U23 coach Razip Ismail believes that the team will continue to maintain their form to achieve good results in the upcoming U23 Asia qualifiers.
Last weekend, Malaysia U23 won the Bangabandhu Gold Cup friendly tournament in Bangladesh after defeating the host country's national team 3-2 in the final.
This is the tournament where U23 Malaysia had an excellent journey when defeating all opponents including Bangladesh (opening match and final), Sri Lanka and U23 Singapore.
The championship in Bangladesh is the first achievement of the U23 Malaysia team in the preparation for the 2016 U23 Asia qualifiers and the 28th SEA Games.
Speaking to the Malaysian press recently, the coach of the U23 Malaysia team - Razip Ismail believes that this team will continue to maintain its form to achieve good results in upcoming important tournaments.

“The confidence gained from the tournament in Bangladesh needs to be maintained,” said Mr. Razip. “I am very pleased with the players as they have achieved good results after overcoming the tremendous pressure from the host country’s stands. After the last tournament, we will continue to have a few more friendly matches before participating in the AFC U23 qualifiers.”
“In the upcoming U23 Asian qualifiers, the opponents will be very different from the Bangabandhu Gold Cup, so we need to continue to maintain high concentration in training and preparation.”
Before entering the U23 Asian qualifiers, U23 Malaysia will have friendly matches with U23 Indonesia, U20 Fiji, U23 Pakistan. Along with that, from March 2, some players of U23 Malaysia will compete in the Singapore S-League in the Harmau Muda II team.
In the U23 Asian qualifiers taking place from March 27-31, 2015, U23 Malaysia will be the opponent of U23 Vietnam in a group that also includes U23 Japan and U23 Macau. The matches will take place at Shah Alam Stadium./.
