Coach Toshiya Miura admitted that his physical training program for the Vietnamese Olympic players was a bit heavy, but he also said that they need to get used to it instead of complaining like now.

Before the match against the Indonesian Olympic team, the Vietnamese Olympic team only had about 17 or 18 players fit enough to play. Coach Miura's heavy training program seemed to have "knocked out" nearly 1/3 of the team. The Japanese coach admitted: "The problem is probably due to age. My training sessions are usually for professional players, so it will be a bit heavy for the U19 and U21 players. But I think they should get used to that training program."

Talking about his players' injuries, Mr. Miura continued: "I cannot say clearly about the cause of the players' injuries. Their injuries are beyond my prediction. But from my many years of experience, I think the cause comes from their physical strength or from the training program."

“In the case of Xuan Truong, he was injured before. Ho Tuan Tai is also quite physically fit, but probably due to a wrong move when kicking the ball, he got injured. Currently, I have 25 players and 5 goalkeepers. I hope I won’t have to call up new players.”

Mr. Miura also revealed that the goal of Vietnam Olympic in tomorrow's match is to win and test the attack: "For now, I want to win. But for both Indonesia and Vietnam, the preparation for the Olympic qualifiers is the most important thing. The day I met Hanoi T&T, I mainly tested the defense. In tomorrow's match, I want to increase the attack by 50%."

Sharing the same opinion with his coach, captain Que Ngoc Hai also affirmed: “My goal and the whole team’s goal tomorrow is to win. In the match against Hanoi T&T, the team had a good day but had a few unlucky situations. Tomorrow is a friendly match but all the players want to go out on the field to prove themselves.”./.
