After successfully retaining Ho Khac Ngoc for another 2 years, SLNA also raised the issue with their player but Phi Son still has not received an answer.

Former SLNA head coach Nguyen Thanh Vinh said: “Phi Son has devoted many years to SLNA and fulfilled his duty. Not only me but everyone wants Phi Son to have more time to play for the team. However, the question is whether SLNA can meet the economic conditions or not.

Just like his predecessors like Trong Hoang, Van Binh... He also had to leave to get a good contract to take care of his future life. The same goes for every player, in the world. Because a player's life is very short. Phi Son also has to take care of himself and his family. Therefore, if SLNA Club wants to keep Phi Son, they must have a suitable amount of money, otherwise it will be very difficult."

Sharing about his future with his home team, midfielder Phi Son said: "The Board of Directors and Coach Nguyen Duc Thang have also worked and talked with me about renewing the contract. However, I will answer later. Because this is the most important time of the season, I want to focus all my attention on playing well, contributing and bringing about beneficial results for SLNA.

I affirm that before thinking about other offers, SLNA is always my number 1 choice. Maybe at the right time, when the season ends, I and the new team will sit down at the negotiating table to talk about my future."
