Sharing with the Korean press, Coach Park Hang Seo affirmed his determination to win if he faces his "old friend" Guus Hiddink in the qualifying round of the U23 Asian Cup.

As known, the Chinese Football Association has decided to appoint coach Guus Hiddink to lead the Chinese U21 team to prepare for the 2020 Olympic campaign. His immediate task is to help the Chinese youth team qualify for the 2019 U23 Asian Cup.

Coach Park Hang Seo affirmed that he will help U23 Vietnam win if he faces U23 China led by coach Hiddink.

In the 2019 U23 Asian qualifiers, China is likely to face U23 Vietnam. This is a scenario that the Chinese press is worried about. However, on the other hand, it is an attractive confrontation because coach Park Hang Seo will have the opportunity to clash with his "old friend" Guus Hiddink. In the past, the two worked together to help the Korean team win 4th place in the 2002 World Cup.

The Korean press is also very interested in this match. That is why, in yesterday's interview, Coach Park Hang Seo received a question about the prospect of meeting Coach Guus Hiddink in the future.

Coach Park Hang Seo shared: “I always appreciate coach Guus Hiddink. However, now, I am the coach of the Vietnam team. Therefore, I will try my best to help U23 Vietnam win against coach Guus Hiddink's team.”

When asked about the prospect of meeting U23 Korea again, coach Park Hang Seo said: "I am Korean but I am working in Vietnam. Therefore, if I face Korea again, I will prepare carefully to have a better result than the semi-final match of Asiad 2018".

In addition, Coach Park Hang Seo also affirmed that he is well prepared for the AFF Cup 2018: "We have made good preparations. We have learned new lessons, new ideas and upcoming test matches."
