Coach Park Hang Seo bows and wishes all Vietnamese fans a Happy New Year
Coach Park Hang Seo and the entire coaching staff of U23 Vietnam sent early New Year wishes to fans nationwide.
After finishing his "celebration" days in Vietnam, Coach Park Hang Seo will return to Korea to rest for a while before returning to prepare for the national team's training session in March. Since he will not be celebrating Tet in Vietnam, the 59-year-old coach would like to send his early New Year greetings to all his fans.
"I cannot send greetings and congratulations on the holiday. I would like to use today's program to send New Year's greetings and wishes to all Vietnamese people. I wish you all a happy new year," said the Korean head coach.
As soon as language assistant Le Huy Khoa translated this sentence, Coach Park stood up and bowed to the entire audience as well as the fans watching live on social networks. He also signaled to the members of the coaching staff to do the same.

Coach Park Hang Seo said that Koreans also celebrate Tet according to the lunar calendar, but the break is not as long as in Vietnam.
"I know that in Vietnam, Lunar New Year is a long holiday and we have meaningful days with our families. It's very, very unfortunate that I will return to Korea for the holiday because my family is there, especially my mother who is very old this year," Coach Park Hang Seo shared.
"In Korea, Lunar New Year is also a big holiday. Children go back to their hometowns to visit their parents. We also visit graves and family members gather to eat and drink. But in Korea, the holiday is very short, about 3 days and 2 nights, not as long as in Vietnam."
This is an opportunity for Coach Park to visit his mother after half a year away from home. When he and U23 Vietnam created the miracle of U23 Asia, he once burst into tears in the press conference room when mentioning his old mother.

Coach Park Hang Seo's mother, Mrs. Park Soon Jung, is 97 years old this year. She has suffered from dementia for the past 3 years and has difficulty moving around due to her poor health. However, whenever she is lucid, just hearing a sound, Mrs. Park cries, missing her youngest son. That is why, every time Coach Park Hang Seo calls home, his brother Park Sam Seo does not dare to pass the phone to his mother.
Recently, when news of Coach Park Hang Seo's success with the U23 Vietnam team spread to his hometown, Mr. Park Soon Jung missed his son terribly. When he was sober, he said: "I miss my son like crazy. I want to see my son. Please take me to Vietnam"./.
