(Baonghean.vn) – Coach Park Hang-seo could not hide his sadness and regret after the loss to U23 North Korea. The Korean coach took responsibility for his failure in this tournament.

Coach Park Hang-seo answered the press conference after the match at Rajamangala Stadium: "Two years ago, we were the Asian runners-up, but this year, we did not play well. Things did not go as expected. I take full responsibility for this result, I wish the result could have been better."

We only scored one goal and there is still a lot to do to have a good team. Anyway, I have seen some promising young players. I think they will be good seeds for the team in the future."

Sharing about goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung’s performance, coach Park Hang-seo said: “I feel bad, really bad about the result of the match and Dung’s mistake. But he probably feels worse than me. Today’s mistake will be the motivation for Dung to correct and become a better goalkeeper.”

"The preparation and results of the match are the authority and responsibility of the coach. I will also use today's defeat as motivation to prepare for the next tournaments. I know the North Korean coach will ask the players to fight with all their might to defeat a Korean coach like me," the captain of the U23 Vietnam team added.

Finally, Coach Park Hang-seo shared sadly: “Bao Toan came on the field because we wanted to switch to playing with 4 defenders. He is suitable for that formation. Not only Viet Hung, my students are all good players. I don’t want to talk about any individual at this time.”

Despite playing with great effort, the red team had to accept a 1-2 defeat against U23 North Korea, thereby leaving the Asian tournament right from the group stage and helplessly watching U23 UAE and U23 Jordan enter the quarterfinals.

In a press conference, coach Ri Yu-il affirmed: “We have prepared the best and tried to win. First of all, I would like to thank the members of the coaching staff. My goal is to build a team with understanding and solidarity, to achieve the goal I set. And we have achieved part of that goal.”

Responding to the U23 Vietnam attack, coach Yu-jil affirmed: "Vietnam's forward line has good players, but we know how they operate and play, so we focus on defense."

Finally, this coach shared: “We lost the first two matches, the chance to continue is gone but the team is still there so we still have to practice, focus and compete. Never give up on the goal and still have to play with the highest effort, even if it is a formality match”.
