During this training session, Coach Park gave many opportunities to young players, partly because the pillars of the Vietnamese team had Covid-19 and injuries.
"The team currently has 8 players quarantined due to Covid-19. I have to use many U23 players as replacements. The Vietnam team still has one more training session and depending on the situation, I will consider how to use the squad. Actually, at this time, I cannot give an answer about how to use the force to confront Oman," coach Park Hang-seo shared.
Regarding playing style, Coach Park emphasized that the Vietnamese team must practice carefully how to counter the opponent's corner kicks. This was the weakness of the red team in the first leg.
"In the first leg, we lost in a corner situation. I have prepared carefully and clearly understood their playing style, and at the same time avoided making regrettable mistakes," said Mr. Park.

Although the chance to continue in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup has run out, coach Park Hang-seo still admits to feeling a bit of pressure.
"As a coach, in any match, in any league, in any category, regardless of whether the opponent is strong or weak, we are always tense and worried. The match with Oman is the same, and the fans are expecting the team to win. I cannot know the result of this match. But the whole team is trying to achieve the best results," said Mr. Park.
Coach Park Hang-seo concluded: "We lost 1-3 in the first leg. Oman has a higher FIFA ranking, but we are not afraid of them. I am only worried about the squad. Key players like Van Duc, Tien Dung and Van Lam are all absent.

In addition, there are 8 key Covid-19 players. Will the replacement players do well? I expect them to play well to create healthy competition. But they are young, inexperienced, and I don't know how they will play.
As a coach, there is no easy game. I also worry about how to not disappoint the fans. I have always lived with that pressure because it is my job. The main concern now is the team's injuries and Covid-19 situation."
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh showed his determination: "The last match at home. The whole team has been well prepared by the coaching staff, the goal is to bring back the best possible result. The whole team has learned from the first leg, and the coaching staff will guide us to fix what we couldn't do. The important thing is that the team is excited and determined to win for the fans."
Vietnam will host Oman at 7pm on March 24. This is the last match of coach Park Hang-seo and his team at My Dinh Stadium in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia.
