Coach Park Hang-seo: I always dare to face failure

There have been many opinions that Mr. Park Hang-seo will say goodbye to Vietnamese football after the 2019 Asian Cup. However, recently, the Korean coach affirmed that he still has unfinished plans with Vietnamese football.
So there is no way this respected coach will leave the place that has brought him great success in his career. The miracles achieved in the recent past are clearly not the destination of this Korean coach.

With what the coach from the land of kimchi has contributed, if he plans to leave Vietnamese football right now, no one will blame him. He is a part of the history of Vietnamese football, Vietnamese fans, although regretful, must admit that our football is still far behind that of Korea. Returning to contribute to the homeland, that is something that Vietnamese people always understand.
However, that is a matter of the future. As he recently told the Korean media: “Nothing lasts forever. You have to be ready to face everything. Me too, I do my job well every day. I know that one day, everything will not be as I wish. In fact, everything will collapse quickly and you will be heavily criticized. That is part of football.”
Clearly, the Korean coach has dispelled doubts about his future in Vietnam. He will stay and be ready to accept failure, not satisfied and then leave when he is still at the top.

In the upcoming continental tournament, Coach Park Hang-seo set the target for the Vietnamese national team to pass the group stage. This is the most practical goal for Vietnamese football.
The national team arena is very different from youth tournaments like the U23 Asia. For that reason, the new Southeast Asian football champion clearly still has a gap compared to the continent's top teams.
The success at the 2017 U23 Asian Cup allows Mr. Park Hang-seo to confidently aim for this arena in 2020. More specifically, if it is one of the 4 strongest teams at the 2020 U23 Asian Cup, Vietnamese football will be able to participate in the 2020 Olympics for the first time.
Before that, Vietnamese football had to be determined to win the 2019 SEA Games gold medal. Until now, the dream of winning the first SEA Games gold medal is still our longing.
It can be said that Vietnamese football still has many feasible goals to conquer ahead. Therefore, it will be difficult for a dedicated person like Mr. Park Hang-seo to say goodbye to Vietnamese football in the near future.
