Not starting in the Vietnam national team, Quang Hai was placed in the U22 Vietnam squad by coach Park Hang-seo in the first round. The same goes for central defenders Thanh Chung and Tien Linh.

On November 11, Cong Phuong and Van Hau will join the national team. Coach Park Hang-seo and his team will face the UAE team on November 14 and Thailand on November 19 at My Dinh Stadium.
