After 5 days of training in Melbourne, the Vietnamese team has completed its preparations.Coach Park Hang-seohas come to the final pieces before the rematch with Australia.

According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the Vietnamese team had their last training session on the afternoon of January 25 before getting used to the field the following day. Coach Park has completed his tactics after 5 days in foreign land.

The Vietnam team only brought 24 players to the away match against Australia in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. Therefore, Coach Park had the simple task of eliminating one player before the match.

In the 2021 Men's Golden Ball category, Van Quyet - the player who received the 2020 Golden Ball was not in the top 5. The players on the shortlist are Quang Hai, Hoang Duc, Tien Linh, Tuan Anh and Que Ngoc Hai.

In the 2021 Women's Golden Ball category, the 5 final nominees are Chuong Thi Kieu (HCMC I), Huynh Nhu (HCMC I), Tran Thi Kim Thanh (HCMC I), Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy (HCMC I) and Pham Hai Yen (Hanoi I).

Korean coach reveals reason for refusing invitation to replace Mr. Park

Mr. Kim Gil-sik admitted that he was invited by the Vietnam Football Federation to coach the Vietnam U23 team in December. However, he refused because he wanted to find success in Korea.

"I couldn't sleep when I accepted the invitation. I also feel proud to lead a strong team of a country. Vietnam has many promising players," Mr. Kim Gil-sik told Spochoo.

He revealed the reason for his refusal. "I want to be recognized more in Korea. I think there will be many opportunities after I retire. Therefore, I politely declined the offer to lead U23 Vietnam," said the coach born in 1978.

Mr. Kim resigned from Ansan Greeners in September 2021 after 9 draws. In December, he received an invitation. That was when VFF extended the contract with Mr. Park Hang-seo. Mr. Park will not lead U23 Vietnam after SEA Games 31.

Therefore, VFF and Mr. Park's representative company are looking for a successor. Mr. Park will lead the Vietnam national team until January 2023, leaving his position at U23 Vietnam. This position is expected to go to another Korean.

Mr. Kim played for Jeonnam Dragons (2001-03) and Daejeon Citizen (2008). He played for the Korean U23 team at the 2000 Olympics. At the coaching level, he led Gwangju FC (2013), Ansan Greeners (2020-21) and the Korean U15 team (2018).

Juventus reach agreement to sign Vlahovic for 75 million euros
