Coach Toshiya Miura is very modest and reserved when talking about himself. |
Mr. Miura said: "I also have the same opinion as Mr. Dollah Salleh, in football anything can happen. The whole team must be very focused in the upcoming match to win even though we have a slight advantage after the first leg.
The second leg is decisive for both Vietnam and Malaysia. I think Malaysia will play with more than 100% of their form, but on the Vietnamese side, we will also try our best. Basically, I think the second leg is not simple and it is not easy to score an early goal as everyone thinks to end the match early.
Xuan Thanh joined the team training yesterday and there was no problem. Basically I think Xuan Thanh can play in the return match but I have not decided on the starting lineup yet.
All players have equal opportunities to play, and the same goes for Tan Tai even though he is the captain. Tan Tai, Phuoc Tu, Cong Vinh… are experienced players, but I am the one who decides on tactics before entering the match."
When compared to the "special one" Jose Mourinho, coach Toshiya Miura laughed and replied briefly: "This is the first time I've heard someone mention this."
