Support outstanding intellectuals, artists and writers in difficult circumstances

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 20, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to present support money to outstanding intellectuals and artists facing difficulties in life.

Also attending were comrades: Ho Duc Phoc - Provincial Party Secretary, Nguyen Van Huy - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Overview of the ceremony.

The policy of supporting intellectuals and artists was implemented by the Central Party Secretariat according to Conclusion No. 59 KL/T.U. In Nghe An, in the first implementation, 14 people were awarded with a support level of 13 million 800 thousand VND/person. This is the support level for the last 6 months of 2014. In addition, after this decision, artists and intellectuals will receive regular monthly support at the support level of 2.0 of the basic salary.

The first 14 people to receive support are all outstanding individuals in all fields, many of whom have received noble titles from the country. They are People's Armed Hero Vu Chong Pao, Son Ha village, Ta Ca commune, Ky Son district, who has 60 years of revolutionary activities, Meritorious Teacher La Van Bon - a Dan Lai ethnic, who has devoted 30 years to the cause of education, priest Nguyen Dang Dien - Chairman of the Vietnam Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province, founder and regular caregiver of over 30 disabled orphans at the 13/9 Disability Center, musician Thanh Tung, Associate Professor, Doctor Le The Lan, journalist Phan Dang San, etc.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc presented a gift to Mr. Nguyen Khac Phien - who, despite being visually impaired, won the B prize in the "Light from the Heart" contest organized by VTV and the Central Association for the Blind.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the province's intellectuals and artists in the past time. Handing over the support money to 14 outstanding intellectuals and artists, the Provincial Party Secretary hoped that this money would be a source of encouragement for the families and wished that with their intelligence, the intellectuals and artists would contribute more to the development of the province in teaching and educating the younger generation./.
