The above policies are stated in the draft Decision of the Prime Minister on vocational training policy for ethnic minority students.
Many support policies for ethnic minority students to learn vocational skills
Policy scholarships are equal to 80%, 100% of the general minimum wage.
Also according to this draft, students who are ethnic minorities with a population of less than 10,000 people will receive a policy scholarship equal to 100% of the general minimum wage.
Students from the remaining ethnic minorities are entitled to a policy scholarship equal to 80% of the general minimum wage.
During the study process, if students study and practice well, achieving good results or better (in the previous school year), they will receive a scholarship to encourage learning according to current regulations.
In particular, ethnic minority students are given priority in university transfer studies according to regulations; and are given priority by the State in ordering vocational training at intermediate and college levels.
Support for school supplies and health insurance
In addition, the draft also proposes regulations that ethnic minority students will be supported with school supplies; be able to borrow free programs, textbooks, and vocational training materials; and be provided with personal cotton blankets, personal mosquito nets, cotton jackets, personal mats, raincoats, and protective clothing according to their training profession.
Students are also given a health check-up book, annual health check-up, health insurance card and can buy regular medicine at the school's medicine cabinet.
Each year, ethnic minority students are also supported twice (round trip) with public transportation fares. During Lunar New Year and Ethnic New Year, if students stay at school and do not return home, they will be supported with 10% of the minimum wage for 1 student/time of stay.
In addition, ethnic minority students are also supported in cultural, artistic, physical education, sports, and mass propaganda and agitation activities of the school.
If ethnic minority students are eligible for social benefits, they will receive social benefits according to current regulations.
