Support Nghe An to urgently evacuate people from landslide areas
The Prime Minister directedThe Ministry of Finance allocated 10 billion VND from the 2012 central budget reserve to support Nghe An province to urgently evacuate people from the landslide area, Xop Mat village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district.
The People's Committee of Nghe An province is responsible for managing and using the support capital for the right purposes, objects, and effectively in accordance with current regulations, while also allocating from the local budget, mobilizing other legal sources to support food for 37 households and investing in project implementation to soon stabilize people's lives and production.

The People's Committee of Tuong Duong district, Nghe An province said that from June 2011 to May 2012, a landslide occurred on Pu Cam mountain in Xop Mat village, Luong Minh commune.
This phenomenon has now continued to recur. After a heavy rain that lasted from the evening of July 1st, a landslide occurred on Pu Cam mountain in Xop Mat village, Luong Minh commune; heavy rain and the steep slope of the mountain caused mud to bury 3 houses.
Faced with this situation, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has directed Tuong Duong district to urgently relocate 37 households out of this area. To provide housing for the people, the district has focused on building a new resettlement site in Na Sam Ho, which is currently in the foundation stage.
Mr. Nguyen Ho Canh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong district, said: the district allocated budget from the emergency reserve fund, last year supporting 3 million VND/household; recently 5 million VND/household to have more funds to relocate to temporary accommodation. Up to now, households in Xop Mat village have been relocated to temporary accommodation, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
Nghe An province has also supported 10 billion VND to build infrastructure for the resettlement area of Xop Mat village. Tuong Duong district continues to support part of the cost, helping people dismantle and transport their houses to new places, while speeding up the progress of infrastructure construction, especially leveling the ground for people to build houses.
