Housing support for the poor
(Baonghean) - According to statistics, the total number of poor households eligible for housing support in rural areas of our province is 26,016 households (of which poor households in 3 districts according to Resolution 30a are 7,355 households and the number of poor households in the remaining 14 districts is 18,661 households). To effectively implement the housing support program for poor households, the province has developed a project and conducted a review at the grassroots level. Along with that, related sectors such as: Construction, Planning - Investment, Ethnic Minorities - Mountainous Areas Committee, Banking... actively participated. Typically, the Construction sector has promptly issued documents guiding implementation with typical designs of housing models for the poor in localities for reference. Guidance on the process of organizing construction and managing housing for poor households supported according to Decision 167 of the Government. The Social Policy Bank prioritizes sources and disburses capital promptly. Currently, the total budget capital allocated is 109,956 million VND (reaching 52.7%) and the total budget capital disbursed is 104,962.6 million VND (reaching 95.4%). The policy bank has lent 10,686 households a total of 85,485 million VND to invest in housing construction. The districts mobilized 28,845.2 million VND from other social resources to support poor households in building houses.
It is a pleasure to know that, up to now, 13,153 poor households in rural areas have received financial support from the State to build houses and people have completed the construction of 15,835 houses (reaching 120.4% of the total number of households that have received financial support and reaching more than 60% of the total number of approved households). Currently, people in 16 districts are building 947 houses. The housing support program for poor households has been effectively implemented by all levels, sectors and especially the people, thereby helping the poor improve their living conditions, settle down and develop production.
