Support women to build a family with 4 standards

(Baonghean) -Deeply aware of the important role of women in building happy families, in recent years, the Provincial Women's Union has focused on directing and organizing many practical activities to support women in building "Prosperous, equal, progressive, happy" families.

The Women's Union at all levels has paid great attention to the propaganda and education work on family building. Through specialized activities, clubs, seminars, competitions, cultural and artistic exchange activities, knowledge and skills on being a wife, a mother, a daughter-in-law, family behavior, social evil prevention, environmental sanitation, etc. are disseminated and guided to support women in organizing their family life well. As a result, 100% of cadres and 90% of women's union members have access to information. At the same time, the union at all levels has launched a campaign for women's cadres and members to register to build families according to the four standards of "Prosperity, equality, progress, happiness" in conjunction with the implementation of the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" and the campaign "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas". 100% of families of officials and 85% of families of women's union members registered to strive to achieve cultural families and "4 standards" families.

In addition, to effectively implement the construction of families according to the 4 standards, the Association cooperated with the Public Security sector to effectively implement Joint Resolution No. 01 between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Women's Union on "Managing and educating children in families not to commit crimes and social evils". Along with directing the maintenance of the activities of the Club, the women's group "Families without relatives violating the law and social evils", the Association has deployed the construction of the Club "Drug prevention", "Social evil prevention", "Domestic violence prevention" as the core in the movement to prevent social evils from within the family in key areas. Currently, the whole province has 92% of branches, 89% of women's groups achieving the status of safe branches and groups, 95% of member families registered to implement the family model without relatives violating the law or addicted to drugs.

The Women's Union at all levels also coordinates with population specialists and health stations to encourage members to do a good job in reproductive health care, population and family planning... During the past term, 212 training classes on reproductive health care knowledge were opened; medical examinations and medicine were provided to women aged 18-49; 70% of mothers with children under 16 years old were informed and instructed on knowledge and methods of raising children.

Along with propaganda and education work, the Women's Union of the commune effectively maintained the movement of women helping each other to develop the family economy. Women helped each other with interest-free capital, support for plants, seeds, fertilizers, working days, and production experience. During the past term, the Women's Union at all levels disbursed 1,868 billion VND to help 222,088 member households borrow capital to develop the family economy; opened thousands of training classes to transfer science and technology, and exchange experiences in production and business for thousands of members. Thanks to that, the Union has helped nearly 30,000 members escape poverty and become prosperous.

"A prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family" is the national strategic goal for women's advancement. Through diverse and creative activities, the Women's Union at all levels in the province has helped members improve their knowledge to build families, bringing the percentage of member families achieving the title of cultural family to 80%.
