Overseas employment support for workers whose agricultural land has been recovered
(Baonghean) -On November 16, 2012, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 52/2012/QD-TTg on policies to support job creation and vocational training for workers whose agricultural land has been recovered.
Accordingly, from January 1, 2013, workers from households directly engaged in agricultural production whose agricultural land has been recovered by the State, who have permanent residence registration in households whose agricultural land has been recovered, are of working age and have the need to work abroad, will be supported 100% of tuition fees for vocational training, foreign languages, necessary knowledge training, health examination costs, passport, visa and criminal record before going to work abroad according to the level prescribed by law; supported with daily meals during the study period; supported with one-way travel from the place of residence to the place of study for students who live more than 15 km from the place of study and can borrow capital with preferential interest rates from the Social Policy Bank to cover the necessary expenses to go to work abroad for a limited period.
In addition, workers whose land is recovered are also supported with vocational training; vocational training counseling; free job counseling and referral at job referral centers under the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of provinces and centrally run cities and given priority to borrow capital from the National Employment Fund according to the provisions of law...
Workers are entitled to the above support policies within 03 years from the date of the Land Reclamation Decision.
This Decision takes effect from January 1, 2013.
