Miss World Philippines 2016 awarded 1.2 million USD

Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray, 22 years old, has successfully surpassed 23 other contestants to be crowned the highest position of Miss World Philippines 2016, which just took place at Manila hotel.

She was also honored as Miss Best in Swimsuit, Miss Best in Evening Gown, Miss Catwalk, Miss Talent, Miss Beach Resort Hannah, and Miss Hotel Manila.

With the above titles, Catriona Gray received a bonus of up to 100,000 pesos (equivalent to 46.2 billion VND).

In addition, she is also one of the most awarded beauty pageant contestants in history, having been awarded many titles from sideline activities such as Miss Figlia Shoes, Miss Folded & Hung (program sponsors).

Not stopping there, the Miss World Philippines title also brought her a cash prize of up to 500,000 pesos (equivalent to 231 billion VND), a Hyundai Eon car, and the opportunity to become the Philippines' representative to participate in the Miss World 2016 pageant in Washington in December.

According to Philippine newspapers, participating in this contest is almost a life-changing opportunity for the young girl. Besides the noble title and huge prize money, she also signed a contract with Viva Artist Management Company worth 1 million pesos (equivalent to 462 billion VND).

In addition, the Filipino model and singer is also chosen as the representative face of many brands, such as FIG-Image Gateway, Organique, Figlia, Folded & Hung, and Manila Hotel.

During the final night of this year's Miss World Philippines pageant, Gray received the crown from former Miss 2015, Hilarie Parungao, who was a Top 10 finisher at the Miss World pageant in China.

Miss World Philippines 2016 is 1.78 m tall, a famous MC, model, and singer from the Philippines. She was born in 1994, her father is Australian, and her mother is Filipino.
