Fire destroys 3 wood factories in Nam Cam industrial park
(Baonghean) -At 10am this morning, June 29, a large fire broke out in Nam Cam Industrial Park (Nghe An). The fire started at the wood chip grinding workshop of Cong Dung Hoa Joint Stock Company, directed by Mr. Vo Hong Dung, and then spread to two other workshops, the drying and wood chip storage workshops of the same company.
Immediately after receiving the fire alarm, the fire prevention and fighting police force - Nghe An Provincial Police quickly arrived at the scene, mobilizing 15 fire trucks, nearly 100 officers and soldiers to participate in fire fighting. Because the combustible material was wood chips, fire fighting encountered many difficulties. By 12 noon today, the fire was completely controlled and extinguished. The fire completely burned down the 3 above mentioned factories, the damage was estimated at tens of billions of VND, fortunately there were no human casualties.
At the time of the fire, there were about 50 workers working at the 3 factories. Mr. Nguyen Van Dao, a factory worker, said: he heard a loud explosion at the grinding workshop and then the fire broke out and spread quickly, despite the efforts of the company's employees to put out the fire...
Currently, Nghe An provincial police and the company are coordinating to investigate the cause of the fire.
