(Baonghean.vn) - At 9 PM on June 16th, a fire broke out at the house of Mr. Nguyen Ba Hai in Minh Duc village, Vo Liet commune, Thanh Chuong district. When discovered, the flames had already risen high in the cattle shed.

At that moment, the local people, in coordination with Mr. Hai's family, made efforts to put out the fire and managed to open the cow shed to get the cows and pigs out.

After the village head of Minh Duc announced the house fire over the loudspeaker, a large number of local residents and officials from Vo Liet commune came to help extinguish the fire. However, due to a lack of water, firefighting efforts faced many difficulties.

Immediately afterwards, the fire department and rescue police of the province arrived and coordinated with local residents to extinguish the fire. By approximately 10:30 PM the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. However, the fire destroyed a three-room cattle shed along with much straw and other items stored inside.

The flames, rising high, caused short circuits in the electrical wires, resulting in power outages for many households in the area.

The cause of the fire was determined to be the homeowner burning trash near the cow shed, with the flames spreading to the straw and causing the blaze.

Currently, Minh Duc village is calling on residents to join hands in donating to help the affected family.

In recent years, Thanh Chuong has experienced many fires in cattle and buffalo sheds caused by burning garbage and dry manure inside and outside the sheds. With hot weather and dry straw easily flammable, farming households need to learn from these experiences to prevent fires.
