Miss Ao Dai Vietnam: Top 12 ready for the final night

Closing the live semi-final night of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 - Road to the Miss World crown last night (December 24), Lan Khue, Thuy Van, and Le Quyen are temporarily leading the rankings with high evaluations from the judges and foreign experts.

The group of Anh Thu, Thanh Nhan, Thu Thuy is still following closely; followed by Diana Nguyen, Thanh Tuyen, Dieu Ngoc, Ngoc Phi, Van Thi Van, Kim Duyen.

Last night, no candidate was eliminated, but the program only summarized and counted the candidates' learning and training results. There was not much drama or surprise because the results were evaluated based on the entire training process of the top 12 in the Beauty Castle after nine weeks.

If Lan Khue and Thuy Van have consecutively placed their names in the top group six times, then with four excellent entries, Le Quyen has also become one of the three strong candidates for the highest positions of the competition.

Responding to questions about their plans after leaving the contest, the common point in the answers of the three beauties was their plans related to community activities as well as their desire to visit and give gifts to children and the elderly in difficult circumstances and illnesses that they met through the program's volunteer activities.

Previously, the top 12 appeared gorgeous in evening gowns, inspired by the beauty of the stars. The designs in the collection combine vibrant colors with sparkling sequins, meticulous tailoring and sophisticated hand-sewn techniques.

The second performance in costumes designed by Cong Tri featured a minimalist style, with white strapless dresses accented with floral motifs and sophisticated jewelry, to highlight the physical beauty and grace of the 12 candidates.

After two performances, Lan Khue was the face that caught the “green eyes” of the two guest judges Nam Trung and Rene Arambulo. When evaluating the most impressive face, Lan Khue not only impressed the two experts with her professional catwalk skills, but also created a feeling of “always being ready” for the mindset of a beauty queen with her charisma, smile, confidence, energy, and enthusiasm to dedicate herself to the community and society.

Regarding the criteria for selecting the winners of the contest, judge and director Nguyen Quang Dung shared: “In addition to the skills to stand out from other contestants in the contest, the winners are those who we see are ready to go a long way beyond two months at the Beauty Castle. Because you are the ones who will represent Vietnam in international beauty contests. We want to choose someone who has the ability and love to take on such a responsibility and mission.”

The final Gala Night of Miss Ao Dai Vietnam 2014 will take place on the evening of January 5, 2015, broadcast live on VTV3 and VTV6 channels, and will have the final results of which candidates will represent the world in the top beauty pageants in 2015: Miss World, Miss International and Miss Supranational./.
