Vietnam hopes that the US will continue to consider granting import licenses for more high-quality agricultural products from Vietnam in the coming time.

On the afternoon of September 11, at the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Le Hai Binh announced Vietnam's foreign affairs activities in the coming time, answering reporters' questions about issues of interest to the press.

Vietnamese lychees have been licensed for import into the US market.

Responding to a reporter's question asking for Vietnam's reaction to the US Department of Agriculture's official announcement of its decision to allow the import of lychee and longan agricultural products from Vietnam, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Hai Binh said:“Vietnam welcomes the US Department of Agriculture’s granting of import licenses for a number of Vietnamese agricultural products such as lychees and longans. This is a step to promote the growing economic and trade relations between Vietnam and the US. We hope that the US will continue to consider granting import licenses for more high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products in the future.”
