In the group of soldiers gathered to report their achievements in front of Uncle Ho's statue at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City), Lieutenant Colonel Vi Hoe - Commander of the Ky Son District Military Command was moved to confide: "We, the unit stationed farthest, at the border of the Fatherland, are very proud to report our achievements to Uncle Ho. In the past time, the district's military has made continuous efforts in performing professional tasks, promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example through concrete actions. Together with the Party Committee, the government and functional forces, the officers and soldiers of the unit have strengthened mass mobilization work, closely attached to the people of all ethnic groups to contribute to maintaining political security and developing the economy of the highlands. Promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", always studying and following his moral example is what every officer and soldier of the Ky Son Military regularly does. That is also one of our constant tasks in every stage and period".
From the heroic Mat Island, Captain Tran Van Thao, political commissar of the Mat Island Mixed Battalion, crossed the waves to come to this honoring conference and could not hide his pride: “Mat Island has a 50-year tradition, this year is also the 40th anniversary of the island receiving the Hero title. Proud and always upholding that tradition, the island's officers and soldiers regularly train to be ready for combat, practice their manners and discipline worthy of being an island with the responsibility of protecting a remote border of Nghe An. In addition, the island also helps with rescue when fishermen are in trouble and is a support for fishermen in the surrounding area to take shelter from storms... Therefore, in addition to always upholding and promoting the heroic tradition of the island over the years, the Mat Island soldiers are also considered by the people as a reliable and loyal support. That is also one of the contents recognized by authorities at all levels and people in studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh.
In particular, the movement “Save for yourself to help the needy” of the Nghe An Armed Forces was adopted by Military Region 4 and the Ministry of National Defense as a model for the entire army. That spread is an important driving force to encourage the Armed Forces to make more efforts, striving to build a force that is “politically strong and militarily strong”.

As for the 17 collectives and 31 typical advanced individuals honored and commended by the Provincial Party Committee of the CCQ Bloc at this conference to review 2 years of implementing Directive 03, it is an opportunity for them to meet, exchange experiences and learn from each other so that the "following" contents are more practical and effective. Young Party member Duong Danh Vy - Deputy Chief of the General Office, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Home Affairs said: "I learn from Uncle Ho in his simple and pure lifestyle, in his spirit of self-study to improve his professional qualifications, political theory, foreign languages, information technology and other supplementary knowledge and learn from Uncle Ho in his spirit and attitude of serving the people; his working methods and style, and his effective and efficient performance of public duties, without causing trouble or causing difficulties for the people and organizations coming to contact him for work".
As the oldest delegate, chosen to speak at the conference, Major General Nguyen Phong Phu - Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, emotionally expressed: "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh does not require each of us to have the same morality as Uncle Ho, but requires each person to take Uncle Ho's ideology and morality as a mirror, from which to find for themselves appropriate moral standards in the current situation. From there, practice and strive to promote existing strengths, overcome existing weaknesses and shortcomings in order to maintain morality, lifestyle, and qualifications of Party members and fulfill assigned duties and tasks, worthy of being dedicated and loyal servants of the people". In fact, as Secretary of the Party - Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association, Major General Nguyen Phong Phu has always maintained and promoted the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, made many contributions to building a clean and strong Provincial Veterans Association, building and consolidating the political system, and is a shining example for the masses to follow.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial CCQ Block excitedly said that on this occasion, 17 collectives were honored for their creative ways of doing things. A typical example is the Inspection Cell 1 (Provincial Inspection Party Committee), based on the political tasks of the unit, the specific professional tasks of each individual, cadres and party members self-identify their weaknesses to register to implement the content of "following". At the monthly Party cell meeting, each person must evaluate the results they have registered to follow, the Party cell gives comments on the results that each Party member has registered and implemented. With this way of doing things, the sense of responsibility of cadres and party members in performing public duties, complying with discipline, time and practice of thrift is better, the spirit of self-criticism and criticism is higher. From there, the content of "following" also brings more specific and practical results. As for the Office Party Cell (Provincial Labor Federation Party Committee), the content of following Uncle Ho's example originates from specific actions, most clearly the awareness of saving (working tools, electricity, water, stationery), thanks to which the state administrative management costs in the agency in 2012 compared to 2011 decreased by 13%, compared to the annual plan decreased by 22%, saving 356 million VND.
As for the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee, in addition to building a plan to propagate typical learning and following on publications: Nghe An Daily, Nghe An Weekend and Nghe An Electronic... The Newspaper Party Committee has built content with clear ethical standards, healthy lifestyles, aiming to build a team of cadres and reporters of the Party newspaper with "sharp pens, pure hearts, bright minds, steadfast political will and high professionalism". The content to follow also originates from specific, practical tasks such as: Launching a savings movement in the agency with a minimum of 20,000 VND/person/month for charity activities. Through the sharing, thoughts, good practices and specific actions of typical collectives and individuals who were commended and other models recognized during this 2-year review of Directive 03, Party organizations can draw experiences to continue implementing learning and following contents more effectively and have more and more advanced typical examples following Uncle Ho in various fields...
