"My house is right at the foot of Pu Tin Xieng, Tin Xieng in Thai means horizon, every time I go to Pu Tin Xieng to collect firewood, I still secretly hope that one day I can go to the capital, visit Uncle Ho's mausoleum and then come back to tell my mother..." - Luong Van Thang confided when I visited and congratulated him on the announcement of the "Hoa Trang Nguyen" scholarship award ceremony - a scholarship for students from high schools and universities nationwide with excellent academic achievements.

Thang's story is about a poor Thai student who loves to study and is an example that many young people in Muong Choong (Quy Hop) are determined to follow. Thang's family has three brothers, Thang is the second son, the eldest brother is still in the army, the youngest sister is studying at secondary school. Both parents are farmers, the family is poor but Thang's academic achievements are admirable. Right from the day he followed his friends across the Nam Choong river to school, Thang left a special impression in the hearts of teachers about his love of studying, there were days when he was sick but still insisted on being carried to school by his parents, or there were times when it rained and he came to class soaked like a drowned rat but still kept his books clean. Growing up a bit and studying at Chau Ly Secondary School, Thang was always a diligent student, good at all subjects.

In grade 9, I brought great joy to my teachers, friends and villagers when I won 3rd prize in the provincial English competition.

During his three years studying away from home at Quy Hop Boarding Ethnic High School, Thang was always an excellent student. Last year, in his final year of high school, Thang had the honor of "going down the mountain" to compete in the provincial excellent student competition in both Geography and English. Thanks to the teacher's tutoring, the care and encouragement of his parents and the villagers, he won the consolation prize for the provincial excellent student competition in both subjects.

At the end of the last school year, Thang confidently applied to the Foreign Trade University and was admitted with a total score of 27.5. The dream of coming to the capital to learn many new things, and to help the village and the commune of the little boy who used to collect firewood in Pu Tin Xieng has now come true. Although there are still many difficulties, I firmly believe that he will overcome them and always be worthy of being the "Hoa trang nguyen" who lights up the pride of the commune and the commune.
