Exchange of holidays for Lunar New Year and other holidays in 2014
The Prime Minister has agreed with the proposal of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on exchanging weekly days off during the 2014 holidays for officials, civil servants and public employees.

Accordingly, during the Lunar New Year, cadres, civil servants and public employees will have a day off from January 28, 2014 (ie December 28 of the lunar calendar) to February 5, 2014 (ie January 6 of the lunar calendar) and will have to work on Saturday, January 25, 2014 and Saturday, February 8, 2014. Thus, cadres, civil servants and public employees will have 9 consecutive days off from January 28, 2014 (ie December 28 of the lunar calendar) to February 5, 2014 (ie January 6 of the lunar calendar).
On the occasion of Victory Day 30/4 and International Labor Day 1/5, civil servants and public employees will have a day off on Friday, May 2, 2014 and will work as a compensatory day on Saturday, April 26, 2013. That is, on this holiday, civil servants and public employees will have a day off from Wednesday, April 30, 2014 to Sunday, May 4, 2014. The total number of days off for this occasion will be 5 consecutive days.
On the occasion of National Day holiday, September 2, civil servants and public employees will have a day off on Monday, September 1, 2014 and will work as a compensatory day on Saturday, September 6, 2014. That is, on this occasion, civil servants and public employees will have a day off from Saturday, August 30, 2014 to Tuesday, September 2, 2014. The total number of days off for this occasion is 4 consecutive days.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that during these holidays, there are working days alternating between the days off. Therefore, swapping the days off as above will ensure uninterrupted work the following week.
The Prime Minister authorized the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to announce the implementation of the exchange of holidays and Tet in 2014.
At the same time, please note that for agencies and organizations that do not have a fixed 2-day holiday schedule every Saturday and Sunday, they will base on the specific program and plan of the unit to arrange a suitable holiday schedule.
