Cheers Mr. Koji
(Baonghean) - In recent consecutive rounds, players in the V.League, especially the V.Hai Phong team, have always behaved violently on the field. In round 16, player Tien Thanh took off his shirt and attacked referee Tran Trung Hieu right after the final whistle. Then in round 17, players Van Nam, Duc Thang, and Thanh Tung were the main characters in the brawl with striker Samson of Hanoi T&T. This time, the V.League Organizing Committee showed strong action, not indulgence like other times. Accordingly, Tien Thanh was suspended for 2 matches, Van Nam was suspended for the rest of the tournament, and Duc Thang and Thanh Tung each missed 4 matches. Just like other teams in the V.League, the first thing the clubs with players who violated the rules was to... condemn the Organizing Committee for unfair and heavy-handed treatment of their players. This time, V.Hai Phong went even further by dragging Club President Tran Manh Hung and Head Coach Dylan Ker directly to the VFF office in Hanoi to meet with V.League Organizing Committee Chief Tanaka Koji and say: “We seem to be being bullied by VFF and the tournament organizing committee. If this continues, we will withdraw from the tournament.”

It seems that this time, the leaders of V.Hai Phong have been humiliated by a strict tournament organizer, contrary to the previous complacency and concessions of VFF.
It is not yet known what the next move of the Organizing Committee and V.Hai Phong Club will be, but anyway, Vietnamese football fans still welcome the frankness of the Head of the Organizing Committee, Tanaka Koji. His strict attitude towards V.Hai Phong team is a warning for other clubs and players in V.League to correct their behavior and attitude on the field as well as in dealing with the Organizing Committee.
