Complete indictment of massacre of 6 people in Binh Phuoc

The Chief Prosecutor of Binh Phuoc Province, Le Duc Xuan, said that the indictment has been completed and three defendants have been prosecuted in the massacre of six people in a family in Binh Phuoc.

According to the Chief Prosecutor of Binh Phuoc Province, all three defendants were prosecuted for multiple murders, infanticide, hooliganism, and brutal crimes. Defendant Nguyen Hai Duong was additionally prosecuted for murder for despicable motives.

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Binh Phuoc province, the defendants Nguyen Hai Duong (24 years old, from An Giang), Vu Van Tien (24 years old, from Binh Phuoc), both temporarily residing in Nhi Binh commune, Hoc Mon district, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tran Dinh Thoai (27 years old, from Vinh Long, temporarily residing in Ward 13, Go Vap district, Ho Chi Minh City) were prosecuted for "murder" and "robbery."

The defendants Duong and Tien were prosecuted under Clause 1, Article 93 and Article 133 of the Penal Code. According to Clause 1, Article 93, which stipulates "murder", the defendants will face the highest sentence of death.

As for defendant Thoai, the Binh Phuoc People's Procuracy determined that although he did not directly participate in the murder or robbery, Thoai was the one who knew about Duong's plan in advance, did not stop it or report it to the authorities, and even provided weapons for Duong to commit the crime.

After the incident, Thoai did not report it to the authorities. Thoai was prosecuted for two crimes with appropriate penalties.

As reported by VNA, on the morning of July 7, 2015, in Hamlet 2, Minh Hung Commune, Chon Thanh District (Binh Phuoc), a case occurred that resulted in the death of 6 people in a family. Three days later, the Investigation Police Agency urgently arrested Duong and Tien to clarify the acts of "murder" and "robbery". Nearly 1 month later, the Investigation Police Agency continued to detain and prosecute Tran Dinh Thoai for his involvement in the above case.

It is expected that on November 4, the People's Procuracy of Binh Phuoc province will hold a press conference to provide detailed information on the entire case as well as the investigation, prosecution and trial preparation process./.
