Completion of phase 3 of the Vietnam - Korea Technical College upgrade project

Attending the inauguration ceremony on the Korean side were Mr. Lee Mi yon - Minister and Consul General of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Kim Ji noh - Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency KOICA in Vietnam; Also attending was comrade Le Quan - Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

The Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College Upgrade Project is a gift from the Government and people of Korea to Vietnam.

The project has a total investment value of 6 million USD, 30 billion in counterpart funds from Nghe An province with 3 components: building a school development strategy, training managers and teachers, transferring technology; building integrated school buildings and providing equipment and machinery; building infrastructure to renovate and build new dormitories.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong thanked and appreciated the contributions and support of the Korean Government to Nghe An over the past years. Through 12 cooperation projects with a total investment capital of 61 million USD, it has contributed to attracting 26,000 workers to the province.

He also particularly appreciated the assistance of the Korean Government and organizations for the project to upgrade the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College.

The completed project has created the best conditions for teaching and learning of teachers and students of the school, helping the school have the opportunity to access the training level of the region and the world, access new technology that has been and is being applied in the production and business fields of enterprises. At the same time, it improves the quality of technical human resources for the Central region, creating confidence for investors in Nghe An.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Minh Thong also pledged to direct and support the school to effectively promote the Project for the purpose of training high-quality human resources.

At the inauguration ceremony, project experts awarded scholarships worth a total of 20 million VND to the school's students.
