Completed some items at Chi Linh Pagoda
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 9, at the Gam Temple complex (Chi Linh Pagoda), Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to inaugurate a guest house worth over 5 billion VND.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa provinces, representatives of leaders of departments, branches and sectors of Nghe An province, leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments and unions of Yen Thanh district, along with thousands of monks, nuns and Buddhist followers.

The Chi Linh Pagoda guesthouse was started to be built in September 2013 and has now been completed with a construction cost of over 5 billion VND, from donations and contributions from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province. The guesthouse is designed with 2 floors, 12 rooms, including 1 meditation room, with an area of over 1,200 m2, built to ensure technical and aesthetic standards.

On the evening of November 8, the pagoda held a ceremony to enshrine the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, a 2.3 meter tall statue made of pure white stone, worth 50 million VND.
Gam Pagoda (Chi Linh Pagoda) was built in the 18th century. The pagoda worships Sakyamuni Buddha, Tam The Buddha and Quan The Am. Chi Linh Pagoda has a mouth-shaped architecture, including the front hall, the left wing, the right wing... It is a famous spiritual and cultural work, a provincial-level historical and cultural relic. Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has a project to build this place into a large-scale Truc Lam Zen Monastery in the region.
Up to now, Chi Linh Pagoda has built and basically completed a number of main items such as lecture halls, guest houses... with a total investment of about 10 billion VND. The guest houses and lecture halls have been put into use, and this will be a place where regular meditation courses are held for Buddhists in and outside the province.
