Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu: Exciting Spring Newspaper Festival and Vietnam Poetry Day

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 3, the 13th day of the first lunar month, Hoang Mai town organized the Spring Newspaper Festival of At Mui and responded to Vietnamese Poetry Day 2015.

Although this is the first year Hoang Mai town has organized the Spring Newspaper Festival and responded to Vietnam Poetry Day, it has attracted the participation of a large number of people, poetry lovers, newspaper lovers, and clubs throughout the town.

The organizing committee received 11 wall newspapers and 9 magazines to participate in the press conference with 328 compositions including: 289 poems, 13 prose pieces, 6 songs, 20 couplets, 4 paintings and some humorous stories and puzzles. The content of the newspapers focused on exploiting current events that people across the country are interested in such as sovereignty over seas and islands, praising the dedication and sacrifice of soldiers who day and night guard the sea and sky, protect the border areas of the Fatherland, about the exciting atmosphere celebrating the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and moving towards Party Congresses at all levels.

It can be said that, on the basis of the cultural cradle of the land of Nghe An, in each work of poetry and literature lovers, the press and media creative activities have conveyed the most complete sweetness and depth of the beloved Hoang Mai region - a land of ancient people and spirituality that is rising up to build a dynamic urban shape in the flow and strong development of the country.

The Chairman of the Town People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements.

This press conference honored groups and individuals who have made many contributions to the local cultural and artistic movement and information and propaganda, so that the authors can continue to make great contributions to the common development of the culture and art of the Hoang Mai region.

On the morning of March 3, at the district cultural center, the Department of Culture and Information of Quynh Luu district coordinated with the Literature and Arts Association, the Elderly Association of the district center, and the Tang Luat Poetry Club of Quynh Luu district to organize the Spring At Mui 2015 Newspaper Festival and the 13th Vietnam Poetry Day.

Coming to the Spring Newspaper Festival At Mui 2015, delegates enjoyed special performances, admired the spring-themed wall newspapers of the units, and felt the beauty of Quynh Luu homeland through the artistic photos of the Quynh Luu Photography Club.

In particular, the delegates also listened to poetry readings, recited poems, and interacted with writers, poets, and many poetry lovers inside and outside the district. Through that, the humanity, artistry, and love for the homeland, the country, the Party, and Uncle Ho of the people of Quynh Luu were highlighted.

This year's Quynh Luu district spring newspaper festival attracted 30 newspapers from commune units, 2 newspapers from the Quynh Luu Tang Luat poetry association and the Huong Que Club - Hoang Mai town with 32 wall newspapers and 33 magazines.

The total number of articles in this spring press conference is 606, including 24 prose articles, 549 poems, 2 songs, 17 parallel sentences, 14 paintings and some jokes, puzzles, crossword puzzles. The content of the articles mainly praises the love of homeland, country, praises the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, good people, good deeds, good workers, family affection, love between couples, criticism of bad habits... but all express the traditional cultural features of the homeland, optimism for a bright tomorrow, expressing deep feelings and infinite gratitude to beloved Uncle Ho as well as absolute trust in the leadership of the Party.

The Spring Newspaper Festival is a useful playground, a meaningful meeting on the occasion of the beginning of the new year for all those who love literature and art creation. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for all seniors, retired cadres, veterans, former soldiers as well as members of the branches and associations from the bases to meet, exchange and share affection.

At the press conference, the organizing committee awarded prizes to outstanding works that won prizes in the 2015 Spring Press Conference, including 1 first prize for Quynh Doi commune, 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes./.
