(Baonghean.vn) - From the beginning of the year until nowThere have been a series of bus fires and explosions across the country, killing two people and injuring many passengers.

*About 5:30 p.m. on April 13,A sleeper bus with license plate 37B-006.70 (running on the Vinh City, Nghe An - Hanoi route) driven by Mr. Ngo Quang Thong (41 years old, residing in Vinh City) traveling on National Highway 1A, through Nghi Trung Commune (Nghi Loc District, Nghe An) exploded and then caught fire fiercely.

At the time of the incident, there were 5 people on the bus, including 3 passengers, the driver and the bus assistant. Driver Thong stopped the bus in time and then escaped with everyone else. Upon receiving the news, the Nghe An Province Fire Police arrived at the scene to put out the fire, but after only about 30 minutes, the bus was burned down.

* Around 7am 28/3,A sleeper bus traveling south-north on National Highway 1A through Quang Binh Commune, Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa Province crashed head-on into a container truck traveling in the opposite direction. After the collision, the two vehicles flew off the road, crashed into houses, and then burst into flames.

There were about 30 people on the bus when the accident happened. After hearing a loud bang, everyone panicked and screamed, trying to jump out of the bus. The container driver and some injured passengers were taken to the emergency room by local people.

After more than an hour of firefighting, the fire was completely extinguished, but the passenger bus was burned to the frame. The front of the container truck was burned to the ground.

* Afternoon of March 9,A 29-seat Transinco bus, driven by Nguyen Thanh Nhan (residing in My Tho City, Tien Giang) on ​​the access road to the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway, through Than Cuu Nghia Commune (Chau Thanh, Tien Giang), caught fire. A column of black smoke rose dozens of meters high. Many explosions occurred, causing panic among the people around. Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus.

Upon receiving a report from the highway security guard, Tien Giang Provincial Police dispatched a fire truck, but the bus had burned down, leaving only the iron frame.

*At about 11pm on February 21, a Ka Long sleeper bus on the journey from Thai Nguyen to Quang Ninh, when passing through Que Vo district (Bac Ninh) on National Highway 18 suddenly exploded. The explosion killed 2 people on the spot, more than 10 people were injured and hospitalized.

*8am same day 21/2, a 45-seat sleeper bus of Tuan Anh (Ward 9, Da Lat City, Lam Dong) caught fire fiercely on Phu Son Pass, Lam Ha District (Lam Dong).

According to initial information, the passenger bus with license plate 49B-00726 of Tuan Anh bus company, driven by Nguyen Ngoc Linh (46 years old), was traveling from Da Lat to Gia Lai. While going down Phu Son Pass, National Highway 27, the vehicle's engine broke down.

As soon as they got off the bus, the driver and the bus assistant noticed that the rear of the bus was on fire. They immediately used the fire extinguisher on the bus to put out the fire, but were unsuccessful. The bus company managed to get 15 passengers and some luggage out of the bus before it was burned down.

* Around 6am on February 8,On Ho Chi Minh Highway in Phuoc My Commune (Phuoc Son District, Quang Nam Province), a serious passenger bus fire occurred. The fire did not cause any human casualties but completely burned down the 45-seat passenger bus and the passengers' luggage on the bus.

*Around 10:30 on February 8,A passenger bus carrying 14 people was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, passing through Tien Giang province, when it suddenly caught fire. Many people managed to escape from the vehicle before the fire engulfed it. At that time, a 16-seat passenger bus carrying about 14 people was traveling on the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway towards Ho Chi Minh City. When arriving at the location, the driver discovered that the vehicle was on fire, pulled over to the emergency lane, and opened the door so that all passengers could escape.

The Tien Giang Province Fire Prevention and Fighting Force dispatched a fire truck to the scene to put out the fire. The fire did not cause any casualties, but the vehicle was completely burned down.

*Around 12:30, February 4,On the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong highway, a 29-seat passenger bus with license plate 66B-004.16 driven by driver Nguyen Huu Loc (60 years old), from Dong Thap, caught fire fiercely when the vehicle had just passed Ben Luc (Long An).

The driver slowed down, pulled over to the emergency lane, and moved the passengers and luggage onto the road. He also used two mini fire extinguishers in the car to put out the fire, but was unsuccessful.

* Previously, morning 3/2, at Km 1368+200 in Phuoc Xuan commune (Phuoc Son district), sleeper bus with license plate 81B - 010.96 driven by driver Thai Van Loi (41 years old, residing in Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province) carrying 3 passengers (and 4 people from the bus company) was traveling from south to north when it caught fire.
