Hoang Thi Thuy won Vietnam's Next Top Model 2011
After more than 5 months of pursuing the journey of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2011, contestant Hoang Thi Thuy has successfully won the championship of this reality TV competition searching for new modeling talent.
In the final night that attracted thousands of live viewers at Phan Dinh Phung Stadium (HCMC) and television audiences nationwide on the evening of January 8, Hoang Thi Thuy demonstrated her mettle and superiority over the two remaining contestants, Le Thi Thuy and Tra My.
The final night of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2011 also featured a special appearance by international supermodel Tyra Banks - founder of the global Next Top Model program, who was a guest judge of the competition, alongside familiar judges including supermodel Xuan Lan, designer Do Manh Cuong, photographer Pham Hoai Nam and makeup artist Nam Trung.
Right after the first round of the show, which was a catwalk performance with designer Do Manh Cuong's collection and a performance in front of the camera, Le Thi Thuy was eliminated and gave way to the Top 2 including Hoang Thi Thuy and Tra My to advance straight to the final round.
The remaining two contestants of the competition entered the live "competition" round in the posing section in front of the camera right on stage. Photos of Hoang Thi Thuy and Tra My were also taken live by the photographer to choose the most worthy face to win the championship of Vietnam's Next Top Model this year.
Showing superiority in body shape, facial angles, professional posing ability, strong steps on the catwalk and impressive personality, Hoang Thi Thuy convincingly won against Tra My with gentle, lovely beauty and a bit "inexperienced" in posing techniques for the high-end fashion field.
Tyra Banks commented on the winner of Vietnam's Next Top Model this year: "Hoang Thi Thuy is a worthy face for high-end fashion. More specifically, she always shows passion and dedication to the modeling profession. With these qualities and titles, I believe Hoang Thi Thuy will go further in her fashion career."

The final night also featured the return of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2010 runner-up Tuyet Lan and the contestants of the Vietnam's Next Top Model 2011 final round, in the fashion show of designer Do Manh Cuong. In addition, there were singing performances.
