Many targets were achieved and exceeded.

Over the years, trade unions at all levels have made many positive contributions in providing comments on the development and supplementation of policies and laws, especially issues related to the rights and interests of workers.

Up to now, 418/530 enterprises with trade unions have signed collective labor agreements, reaching a rate of 78.9%; mobilizing units to organize dialogues combined with labor conferences increased from 50% to 58%; participating in directing the successful resolution of 9 collective labor disputes and strikes; consulting and promptly and effectively resolving 5 individual labor disputes...

Over the past two years, trade unions at all levels in the province have mobilized and allocated nearly 20 billion VND from the budget to organize visiting and celebrating Spring and Tet activities.

From 2018 to 2020, the whole province has developed 22,356 new union members, reaching 135.49% of the target for the whole term; introduced 7,582 union members to the Party, considered and admitted 6,434 new party members...

Trade union activities must be linked to workers' rights.

With a spirit of frankness and responsibility, at the conference, representatives of the grassroots trade union had many discussions sharing experiences and difficulties and problems in the process of operation.

Among the issues of concern are the development of union members, the establishment of unions in enterprises and the quality of collective agreements.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the activities of the Nghe An provincial trade union.

In particular, although the trade union movements have been greatly affected by the pandemic in recent times, the workers' and civil servants' movements and trade union activities have still developed in both quality and quantity in all economic sectors, especially in the non-state economic sector and the foreign-invested sector.

However, in addition, he also hopes that in the next half term, Nghe An needs to improve the quality of trade union activities and improve the quality of representation work, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers.

In particular, it is necessary to propose warnings and plans to prevent and resolve labor disputes, paying special attention to the trend of labor cuts in a number of industries and units.

In the coming time, comrade Phan Van Anh also requested that Nghe An Labor Federation develop specific plans and monitor and develop trade unions in many types of enterprises.

In dialogue work, collective labor agreements also need to be focused on to benefit workers and be suitable to the specific characteristics of the industry and field.

To improve the quality of activities, it is also necessary to pay attention to the union team, including full-time and part-time, pay attention to signing welfare for union members, mobilize enterprises to coordinate with unions to carry out activities to take care of the material, cultural and spiritual life of union members and workers. At the same time, innovate the way to gather union members and build a strong union organization.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Emulation Flags to 4 groups and Certificates of Merit to 79 groups and individuals. The Provincial Labor Federation also awarded Emulation Flags to 6 groups for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong trade union organization in 2020. In addition, 3 outstanding units in trade union activities were also awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Federation.
