Many issues people are still concerned about

In the second quarter, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations from the province to the grassroots level paid attention to propagating the policies and laws of the Party, the State as well as of the province and localities. The Fatherland Front and mass organizations also continued to mobilize, creating high consensus among the people to carry out the movement of building new rural areas; merging blocks, hamlets, and villages; clearing land for project implementation; preventing and fighting African swine fever, fighting drought on crops, etc.

The people's thoughts are basically in agreement with the policies, guidelines and direction of all levels and sectors. However, public opinion also raises many concerns and worries about child drowning, child abuse, school violence, and child law violations; the settlement of policies and regimes for redundant staff and the use of cultural and sports facilities after the merger of blocks and hamlets.

The issue of compensation for site clearance; slow resettlement for households affected by Ban Ve and Nam Non Hydropower Plants; and degradation of the power grid system in some localities... are also concerns of the people.

In addition to the above issues, at the meeting, representatives of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations also raised a number of issues. Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee informed that through the dialogue conference between the Party Committee, local authorities and people in the whole province in the first 6 months of the year, localities have compiled 8,682 opinions and reflections from the people; of which, the land sector accounts for the highest percentage of 30.8%; socio-economic development has 19.1% of opinions; regimes and policies have 11.4% of opinions; management of authorities at all levels accounts for 6%...

From this reality, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee recommended that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee continue to lead and direct all levels and sectors to strengthen the resolution of issues of concern to the people, thereby limiting the frustration, complaints and denunciations of the people; especially since 585/8,682 opinions have not been resolved and answered.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Nhi - Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor also shared the concerns and worries of workers and laborers when a survey showed that 99% of workers did not agree with the policy of increasing the retirement age to 60 for women and 62 for men; requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to synthesize recommendations and reflect to the Central Government.

Activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations need to be more substantial.

Speaking at the conference, in addition to appreciating the role and activities of the Fatherland Front, contributing to promoting the overall development of the province, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also pointed out a number of limitations and shortcomings. It is worth noting that the work of grasping the situation and recommendations of the people is sometimes and in some places not timely; the quality of activities of some movements of some organizations is not really effective.

Orienting tasks in the coming time, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son requested that the activities of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations need to be substantive, focused, and key on the basis of closely following the functions of the organization and the political tasks of the locality, avoiding generalities and formalities.

In addition, the Fatherland Front and organizations need to study and consider to participate in effectively implementing Plan No. 196-KH/TU, dated June 13, 2019 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on organizing the activity with the theme "Nghe An follows Uncle Ho's instructions" in 2019 - 2020; in which focusing on implementing Uncle Ho's instructions on Party building, nurturing the young generation, practicing democracy, developing the economy, taking care of people's lives; striving to make Nghe An the best province in the North.

The Fatherland Front and mass organizations continue to promote their role in propagating and mobilizing people to promote emulation movements, promote production, business, establish careers, carry out socio-economic tasks, and constantly improve people's lives.

Along with that is propaganda on prevention and control of natural disasters, droughts, floods, forest fires, and diseases on crops and livestock; removing difficulties, promoting production and business, implementing projects and works, shifting the structure of crops and livestock; preventing and combating crimes and social evils, especially drugs.

The Fatherland Front and mass organizations continue to promote their supervisory and critical role in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; in which they pay attention to implementing democratic regulations, implementing regimes and policies for workers; managing land, minerals, finance, and public assets; receiving people, resolving citizens' petitions; taking care of perfecting the organization in the spirit of Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (12th tenure); participating in Party and government building, focusing on implementing Project 01/DA-TU on "Building Party cells, developing Party members in blocks, hamlets, and villages without Party cells, without Party members, and blocks, hamlets, and villages at risk of no longer having Party cells, period 2016 - 2020" and paying attention to solving problems after dialogue between Party committees, grassroots authorities and people, creating trust for people, avoiding formalities in dialogue...
