Prime Minister's first activity during visit to Russia

After the welcoming ceremony at Vnucovo airport, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung went to Ho Chi Minh Square and laid flowers at Uncle Ho's statue.

On the afternoon of May 12 (local time), Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Moscow, beginning an official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitri Metvedev.

The official welcoming ceremony for Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung took place at Vnucovo airport with solemn ceremony. On the Russian side, there were Deputy Foreign Minister Morgulov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Vietnam Kovtun, Director of the Protocol Department Philatov and many officials from ministries and branches of the Russian Federation.

On the Vietnamese side, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation Pham Xuan Son, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation and many representatives of Vietnamese people studying, working and living in the Russian Federation warmly welcomed Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the delegates in the delegation.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung reviewed the Russian honor guard and introduced the official members of the Vietnamese delegation visiting Russia to Russian officials welcoming the delegation.

Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and members of the Vietnamese delegation visiting Russia went to Ho Chi Minh Square near the center of Moscow to lay flowers in front of Uncle Ho's statue. In the warm spring sunshine, the fresh flowers were offered to Uncle Ho, expressing the affection and respect of the Vietnamese people present in the homeland of Lenin's October Revolution towards President Ho Chi Minh.

After laying flowers at the Ho Chi Minh monument, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung visited the Hanoi - Moscow Cultural - Trade - Hotel Center and met with representatives of the Vietnamese Community in the Russian Federation. The meeting took place in a warm and lively atmosphere, like that of relatives.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to the Russian Federation Pham Xuan Son, on behalf of the community, reported to the Prime Minister and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation about the business situation of the community, the academic achievements of the children of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation and expressed gratitude for the attention of the Party and State to the Vietnamese community far from the Fatherland.

Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Association of Vietnamese in the Russian Federation, reported to the Prime Minister on the spirit of solidarity and building a strong community of Vietnamese people in the Russian Federation, on efforts to strengthen integration into the host society and towards the homeland with practical actions.

Mr. Do Xuan Hoang also expressed his wish that the Vietnamese Government should pay more attention to Vietnamese investors in the Russian Federation, and should have a mechanism to accurately survey the number of Vietnamese investors in the Russian Federation to have the right direction; Information about the situation and activities of the community needs to be more accurate and fair so that the country can correctly understand the very encouraging situation of the community.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung began his speech to the community with words of congratulations to the community and highly appreciated the large investment project of INCENTRA Group in building a Hanoi - Moscow Cultural - Trade - Hotel Center in the capital of the Russian Federation, contributing to creating for the Vietnamese community a place for cultural, spiritual and systematic business activities, a very prestigious "establishment".

Informing the community about the situation of the country, the policies of the Party and the State towards Vietnamese people living far from the Fatherland, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed the consistent policy of considering the Vietnamese community abroad as an inseparable part and always paying great attention. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also highly appreciated the strengths of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his wish: “Today, meeting you, comrades and brothers and sisters, I really hope that the community will continue to promote its fine tradition, which is solidarity, there is nothing better than being far from home, that is loving each other, helping each other, overcoming all difficulties to make a living, integrating with the host country, and sticking with the host community. The two peoples, the two countries have a fine, long-standing tradition of friendship... We need to integrate and respect the law, obey the law, respect the government. Next is to preserve the cultural identity of our Vietnam”.

Also at the meeting, Mr. Tran Bac Ha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV), a long-time companion of the Hanoi - Moscow Cultural - Commercial - Hotel project, and Mr. Nguyen Canh Son, Chairman of the Board of Directors of INCENTRA Company, reported to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung about the construction project and promised to complete this meaningful project in the best possible way and on schedule on the occasion of the National Day celebration on September 2 this year.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of INCENTRA Company signed a contract with representatives of BIDV Bank on a cooperation agreement and signed contracts with 2 Vietnamese enterprises in the Russian Federation, Minton Group and Tue Linh Enterprise Group./.
