Cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2
(Baonghean) - To celebrate the 66th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, and the 42nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's death, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An organized many exciting cultural and artistic activities throughout the province.
The biggest event is the Ho Chi Minh Theater and Cinema Arts program, scheduled to be held on the evening of September 24, 2011, organized by the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee in coordination with Vietnam Television at Nghe An Labor Culture House. This is a large-scale art program, depicting the entire life of President Ho Chi Minh's vibrant revolutionary activities along with the imprints of Uncle Ho's childhood and youth spanning Nghe An, Hue, Binh Thuan, Saigon, Viet Bac and Hanoi Capital. The program's script has been reviewed and highly appreciated by the Department of Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Ho Chi Minh Theater and Cinema Arts program brings together a leading creative team with professional actors from many theaters across the country, promising to bring the audience an emotional and spectacular program, authentic and profound about Uncle Ho's life. This is also the largest program ever to build the image of the great President Ho Chi Minh, carried out in both theatrical and cinematic art forms.
Before that, on the evening of September 2, art performances will take place in key areas such as Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh city), Binh Minh Square (Cua Lo town), and Nam Dan District Stadium. Professional and non-professional art troupes of the province also plan to perform for people in mountainous districts and remote areas, serving propaganda work, and improving the cultural life of rural people. The provincial Information and Communications Center will organize a tour to promote revolutionary songs and information plays in 14 districts, cities, and towns in the province.
On this occasion, agencies such as Nghe An General Museum, Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, and Military Region IV Museum stepped up the collection of documents and artifacts about the August Revolution, and increased opening hours to serve the people. The Department also directed the Monuments and Landscapes Management Board to coordinate with the locality to implement the restoration, embellishment, management, exploitation, and promotion of the values of revolutionary resistance relics and historical and cultural relics in the area. At the same time, organize traditional cultural tours "Back to the source", and implement mass sports activities to celebrate major holidays in 2011.
