Accordingly, the Lunar New Year holiday for officials and civil servants of the Department of Education and Training; Department of Education and Training of districts, cities and towns is from February 8, 2024 to February 14, 2024 (ie December 29, Quy Mao year to January 5, Giap Thin year).
For Kindergartens, Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, High Schools, Vocational Education Centers - Continuing Education Centers; Information Technology Centers, Foreign Languages, Life Skills Centers... Tet holiday from February 5, 2024 to February 14, 2024 (ie from December 26, Quy Mao year to January 5, Giap Thin year).

Thus, students at all levels in Nghe An will have a 10-day Tet holiday. However, primary and preschool students or some secondary schools that do not have classes on Saturdays can have a holiday from Friday, 2 days earlier than the official schedule.
During the Tet holiday, the Department also requested that schools specifically notify the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday schedule to all staff, teachers, employees and students of the school; strictly implement the assignment of duty and security for agencies and schools during the Tet holiday.
At the same time, closely coordinate with local police to take necessary measures to ensure absolute safety of facilities, equipment and fire prevention and fighting for agencies and units.

During the Spring Festival, schools actively responded to the movement "Tet tree planting to forever remember Uncle Ho", according to the policy of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee on organizing Tet tree planting in the year of Giap Thin 2024. It is strictly forbidden to buy, sell, store, manufacture firecrackers (buy raw materials online and then arbitrarily manufacture firecrackers), and illegally use weapons, explosives, support tools, and firecrackers among teenagers, students, and pupils.
In particular, schools need to proactively find solutions to prevent students from dropping out after Tet. Strengthen solutions to mobilize students to go to school and maintain attendance rates. Review students at risk of dropping out and classify them to have appropriate measures for each student. For poor and disadvantaged students, it is necessary to mobilize resources to help and support them in a timely manner during Tet; students must not be allowed to drop out of school due to difficult circumstances.
Before Lunar New Year, based on actual conditions, units proactively develop plans to mobilize resources to organize incentives and give Tet gifts to students from families with meritorious services, orphans, and homeless students. Visit retired cadres, teachers, and employees in difficult circumstances.
