On the morning of October 19, at Nghi Loc 3 High School, the Department of Education and Training together with the Education Trade Union organized the launching ceremony of the campaign "Nghe An students say no to phones during class".

The campaign is being carried out in the context of the Internet, smart devices such as mobile phones, tablets, smart watches, etc., which are strongly impacting the school education environment.

However, besides the benefits that the Internet, smart devices, most commonly mobile phones, bring to students, this also greatly affects learning, learning, negatively affects students' learning outcomes, and even affects the physical, psychological, and personality development of learners.

In order to build a safe, healthy and developing educational environment, minimizing the negative impacts of the Internet and mobile phones on learning outcomes, psychological, physical and personality development of students, the Department of Education and Training and the Education Trade Union jointly organized the campaign "Nghe An schools say no tophonein class

The implementation was carried out with 5 purposes, requirements; 5 tasks and solutions, with the main goal: High school students do not use phones during regular classes, extra classes at school, including recess.

Thereby, contributing to educating and raising students' awareness of the awareness and responsibility of using phones. In particular, focusing on equipping students with knowledge, so that they can understand and control themselves in using phones for the right purposes, maximizing the benefits and positive effects of the Internet and phones in life as well as serving the learning needs, helping students identify bad and toxic information, the harmful effects of using phones when accessing the Internet and social networks, practicing self-protection skills and preventing harm.

In addition, strengthen solutions to effectively manage the use of phones in schools; improve the quality of each lesson and session. Help students build awareness, spirit, attitude, and habits of studying and working with concentration to effectively absorb lessons; increase direct interaction and communication; reduce addiction to video games and social networks; support the development of students' psychology, personality, physical health and results. Thereby, improving the quality of comprehensive education in the province.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh once again reiterated the benefits and impacts of phone abuse on students' learning. Therefore, the campaign aims to help students use it effectively, at the right time, in the right place, ensuring reasonableness, science, health of students, and effective use of the digital environment.

For the campaign to be successfully implemented in schools, the head of the education sector said that it "depends greatly on the students' determination to respond, their determination to overcome temptation, and their ability to use phones effectively." During the implementation process, teachers also need to promote pioneering, exemplary, and serious use of phones at school to set an example for students.

Immediately after this launching ceremony, the Department also requested the Departments of Education and Training and schools to sign a commitment to implement widely throughout the industry. The implementation process needs to step up propaganda work, so that parents and students actively respond and sign a commitment with the school, to raise the spirit of discipline and responsibility, and strictly implement the regulations.

Responding to the Campaign "Nghe An Students Say No to Cell Phones During Class", at the ceremony, the Department of Education and Training coordinated with the Nghe An Education Trade Union and the School Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company to build a model: Soul Seed Bookcase - Wisdom instead of technology.

Implementing this model, the School Equipment and Books Joint Stock Company will donate 100 bookcases with many topics to schools, with special attention to schools and areas where students have difficult circumstances.

Through activities of organizing campaigns to build libraries at schools, units wish to introduce books, valuable, rich, meaningful, selective and humane learning and research resources and materials.

In addition, it will contribute to building spaces inside and outside the classroom, an open library model, connecting the journey of the campaign "Developing a reading culture to promote lifelong learning".

On this occasion, the Central Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company donated 50 library bookshelves to schools. The total amount of books and libraries donated by the units to schools was over 2 billion VND.
