Vinh City students sad because Math test is too long and difficult

During the morning of the final exam, the weather was cool and rainy, creating favorable conditions for candidates to take the exam. However, at the end of the exam, students were quite worried because the exam was more difficult and longer than expected.

As one of the first candidates to leave the exam site, Le Thi Thuy An, a student at Doi Cung Secondary School, said: "This year's exam was quite long, and no one in the room finished the entire exam. If I'm lucky, I hope I'll get 7 points."

Sharing the same opinion, Nguyen Thi Khanh Hien - a student at Ha Huy Tap Secondary School said that although natural science is her strength, she still could not complete the math exam, especially questions 4b, 4c and lesson 5. These are very difficult questions, outside the curriculum, only good students can do them.

This year’s Math exam consists of 5 lessons. According to students, lessons 1, 2, 3 and geometry 4b are in the textbook program, and there are lessons that “can be answered just by looking at them”. However, most students cannot do geometry 4 and lesson 5 on calculating irrational equations because many students have not studied them yet, so they have to do a lot of calculations.

Commenting on this year's exam, teacher Tran Thi Mai Chi - Nghi Xuan Secondary School teacher said: "The exam is close to the sample exam format of the Department of Education and Training, with differentiation of students in questions 4 and 5. With this exam, if students study well, they can easily get 7 - 8 points. The two classification questions are difficult, but not more difficult than the classification questions of previous years."

With this exam, it is expected that there will not be many 10 points in Math this year. This will certainly affect the entrance results of schools and it is not excluded that this year's benchmark score will be lower than previous years.
