Most of the candidates after finishing the final exam said that the Math exam was highly classified, with some questions being difficult. Many even burst into tears right after leaving the exam room.

At the exam site of Le Viet Thuat High School, many candidates walked out of the school gate with faces that were not as happy as the previous two exams. “I am very sad. This year’s exam was quite difficult. I could only do about half of it. The last exam was also the one I did the worst out of the three,” said candidate Nguyen Hoang An from Ben Thuy Secondary School.

Similar to An, many candidates at this test site when asked also said that the Math test was difficult and highly classified.

"I only got about 8.5 points, I am not satisfied with this result," said candidate Le Hoang Quan - Hong Son Secondary School.

At the exam site of Con Cuong High School, many candidates were also not confident with their answers. Ha Nhat Tam - Tra Lan Secondary School worriedly shared: This year's Math exam, although within my ability, was still longer and more difficult than last year's: "The exam was relatively within my ability, but there were still about 20% of the exam questions that differentiated gifted students. The part I was most confident about was the geometry section." Ha Nhat Tam hoped that the result would not be too high, just enough to pass her first choice.

Meanwhile, Duong Thanh Tuan, also a 9th grader at Tra Lan Secondary School, said he did not have enough time to do question 2b and the geometry test. However, he was still confident that his test would score 6-7 points.

Similarly, at the Quy Hop High School exam site, according to many candidates, this year's Math exam was relatively difficult, even more difficult than last year's, and the expected score range would not be high. Therefore, only students who are good at Math will get a score of 9 or 10.

Vi Tran Quoc Trung - Chau Quang Secondary School said that the exam was a bit difficult, he only did question 1, question 2a, question 3, the most difficult question was question 4b, the math subject he scored only about 6 to 7 points. As for Hoang Trong Cuong - Tru Van Tho Secondary School, Binh Duong province, taking the exam at Quy Hop High School, he said that he could do all the questions, but question 5 took a bit of time, he scored about 7 or 8 points. As for candidate Hoang Minh Thong - Quy Hop Town Secondary School, he said that he likes studying math and doing it is his strong subject, but this year's exam was more difficult than last year's, a bit different from the structure of the questions he reviewed, the most difficult question was the Vieta theorem, it took 30 minutes to solve, the question classified students quite high in questions 4 and 5.

At the Quy Chau High School exam site, Lang Quynh Vy from Hanh Thiet Secondary School predicted that she would only get 6.5 points in Math. “I am quite sad, this year’s exam, in my opinion, is more difficult than the previous years’ exams that I have consulted. However, the basic part of the exam is quite easy, clearly and concisely expressed, I have finished this part and give myself an average-good score,” Vy said.

Meanwhile, Vo Trong Nguyen Tam from Hanh Thiet Secondary School was excited and confident that he would get more than 9 points and if he was lucky, he would get 9.5 points. “The test was more difficult than the mock test and the entrance exam last year, but I felt confident in my answer. Question 4 took me a long time because it was hard to see how to solve it. When I calmed down and read the question and the diagram carefully, I was able to do it. I hope to get a high score on the test so that I can apply to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted,” Tam said.

At the exam sites in Do Luong district, many students left the exam room in an unhappy mood. Nguyen Thi Hoa from Vo Thi Sau Secondary School said: “The exam was quite difficult, especially question 2b with an equation with 2 solutions; Question 4c gives 2 tangents to a circle intersecting each other, proving that the 2 angles are equal; Question 5 solves the equation.”

Most of the candidates thought the exam was difficult. A group of students from My Son Secondary School said with a displeased expression: “We will probably have to go to the Continuing Education Center.” Because they could not do the exam, some students burst into tears as soon as they left the school gate.

At Thai Hoa High School, general comments on the Math exam, many candidates said that this year's exam was suitable for most students, closely followed textbook knowledge, not too difficult, classified candidates, and had enough time to do the test.

Candidate Pham Thi Hoa, a student at Hoa Hieu 2 Secondary School (Thai Hoa) commented: "This year's Math exam was based on the curriculum, mainly revolving around knowledge learned in class and following the spirit of what you learn is what you test. I did 70%, only the last 2 questions were a bit difficult for the candidates so I skipped them. Yesterday, I did quite well in Literature and English, so I hope I have enough points to pass this year."

At the Co Do High School (Nghia Dan) exam site, many candidates left the exam room in a relaxed mood. Le Phuong Nhi, a student at Hong Minh Secondary School, said: This year's Math test is a bit more difficult than last year's, but in general, it follows the curriculum. The Math test is spread evenly from the first semester to the second semester. Of which, the first 3 questions are the easiest to get points. However, the test also has difficult questions in the Geometry section that classify students. Many students can skip it because they know their ability, do not solve that question but focus on thinking about the basic questions to get a good score, only when they finish will they think to solve more. I like the Math test with high differentiation like this year to clearly classify students. With this Math test, many students will get 6-7 points. There won't be many 9-10 points."

After completing the final exam, leaving the exam area, many candidates in Anh Son district said that the exam followed the program closely and had clear differentiation. With an excited mood, Le Hai Dang, at the Examination Council of Anh Son 1 High School, said: I see that this year's Math exam follows the program that we have learned and differentiates students according to each level. Of the 5 questions, the first 3 questions are familiar types of exercises that we have learned during the review process, students with average academic ability can do it. From question 4 onwards, the exam requires high application to classify candidates. To do these questions, students must have a solid grasp of knowledge to be able to do it. I am not too worried about the results of Math because this is my strong subject. I think I can get over 8 points.

Student Nguyen Cam Tu at the Examination Council of Anh Son 2 High School shared: I think this year's Math exam contains all the knowledge in the curriculum and review. In the exam, I see that question 4 begins to be classified, and only good students can do question 5. Personally, I am confident that I will get over 7 points in this Math exam, because the exam is on par with the mock exams and is close to the school's review program.

At the Dang Thuc Hua High School (Thanh Chuong) exam site, Hoang Van Phu, a candidate from class 9C, Vo Liet Secondary School, said after leaving the exam site: “The math test this morning was moderately difficult for me. Out of the 5 questions, I finished 4, and I didn’t finish question 5, which I think was the most difficult. “I predict that I will get 6 points on my test. The total score for the 3 subjects is about 15 points. I just hope to pass grade 10,” Phu said.

Like her schoolmate, Phan Thai Ha Linh - a 9th grade student at Vo Liet Secondary School, an excellent student in Biology, shared: I found this morning's Math test to be close to the curriculum, especially close to the review content. However, I have not finished the test yet, question 5 and part C of question 4 are left unfinished. According to Linh, my test score is about 7 points. "Of the 3 subjects, I did the best on the Math test. The total score of the 3 subjects is about 19 points, maybe I will pass the 10th grade exam", Linh said.

Evaluating the Math exam, Mr. Nguyen Cong Tien - Math teacher at Ly Nhat Quang Secondary School, Do Luong district said that compared to last year, this year's exam was stable, there were no "puzzles", many questions were easy so the percentage of students achieving 7 - 8.5 points will be high, however, to achieve 9 and 10 points is very difficult. The exam structure is quite reasonable with advanced questions, requiring students to apply a lot of knowledge systematically or synthesized to solve. This ensures a very good level of differentiation and assessment of candidate quality.

According to Mr. Tien, questions 4b, 4c on Spatial Geometry and question 5 on Algebra are the most difficult questions, clearly differentiating students. Many students had to spend a lot of time to solve questions 4 and 5. Mr. Tien predicts that this Math test will not have a "rain" of 10s like previous years.

According to a quick report from the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province, at the end of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year, the total number of candidates registered for the exam was 44,689. Of which, the total number of candidates absent from all 3 subjects was 63. No candidates violated the exam regulations. The exam took place normally, safely and in accordance with the regulations.
